Timeline for endorsing RN license to CA

U.S.A. California

I am interested to hear anyones experience in endorsing their license into CA. I used the online endorsement as well as the livescan fingerprinting. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Hi everyone! I have been reading this thread for a couple months and thought I would share my experience. I passed the NCELX July 2014 in New York. I moved to California in the beginning of August, I sent my transcripts the end of July, did the livescan in California and sent my application out on August 7th. My check was cashed August 29th. I called the BON in September and they told me 8+ weeks until my license was issued, I called again last week and they told me they were working on July applications and it would be 2 more months. I was obviously not happy with that answer so I called back again this morning and asked why my temp license hasn't been issued (my finger prints cleared in September). The lady I spoke to gave me her e-mail and told me to email her my info and she would see if she could do something...my temporary license was issued by 5pm!

Update - called again today. Was told my FBI name clearance was still pending. I politely told the woman that the last time I called my name check was fine and that they needed additional transcripts (which I promptly had sent out). She was confused as my stated I was sent a letter in August that I had deficiencies but she couldn't see what. I was transferred over to the fingerprinting office. Left a message, I really didn't think I'd get a call back. But I did and that woman said yes indeed by clearances were all complete including the name check and they were just waiting on those additional transcripts. I asked about the temp license that I'd paid for and she said she'd send an email so I can at least get that while I have another set of transcripts sent in. And so the saga continues.....

Got my temp license. Sent another set of transcripts in. Hopefully they will get to their correct destination and I will get that perm license soon. Started this whole process in April.

What was your secret? Thats the same day my check was cashed. Difference is I did livescan. My fiance is already living in CA and I am stuck in AZ until the powers that be clear me for service.

Yes! Something is happening on my account! I now have a temporary license pending! Anyone else had this update? How long does it take for the temp license from this point?

Never mind. I got my temp license! Yaaaaaahooooooo!

Do you see your temporary license on BREEZE? How do you check it? Congrats by the way!

I log into breeze every day and today I saw something I'd never seen before. It said temporary license pending. Then 20 minutes later a temporary license number popped up in the corner. And it's good for six months. Hopefully the permanent license will be in way before then but at least I could take a few assignments there in the meantime.

ok thanks! Sounds easy enough. Yeah I check like 5 times a day! Gosh I hope mine is up soon. Thanks for the Info :-)

Yay Perfexion! I just got off the phone with Cali BON. I asked if they were still issuing temporary licenses and the woman told me yes. I asked her how long. She said they were back logged 3 months, they were just now working on apps from the beginning of August and therefore I should expect it to be 2 months before an evaluator would even look at my app. Ugh.

Yay!! I finally got my license number today! This journey of endorsing has been tough but glad it's finally over. Now to work on finding a job out there and finally be home with family. I've been away way too long not to be with them.

Hang in there everyone...it does eventually happen!

Application up on breeze - 9/4

Finalized - 10/28

Yay! My temp license was issued today! So excited to finally have SOME progress. Perfexion answered my question about how long a temp license is good for, but does anyone know at this time about how long it takes to get your permanent license once they've issued your temporary?
