Hello all! It's a little early, but I wanted to make a new thread for all those applying this summer for TCC's Spring program! I dropped off my application this past Tuesday and am already ready for October 15th to hurry up and get here, lol!

I wouldn't take it over if u think u can get an A in 142

i didn't retake it

i got an A in 142 C in 141 & B in bio 150

Is anyone going to Camp Nightingale or joining the Student Nursing Association?

I am going to try to go to Camp Nightingale, but I think that might be my on weekend at work.

Congratulations. Nur 108 will be a tough class, put all into it. There is a 80 rule in test. If your average test grade is lower than 80 you cannot pass the class. This is a hard program, but really good.

Does anyone know what is in the Nurses Kit at the Bookstore?

If you don't mind can you tell me what nurs 108 consist of? I just wanna prepare

Has anyone been able to figure out what is included in the Nursing Textbook Bundle that is listed by B&N as recommended for both NUR108 and NUR130. Just curious to know if the bundle offers any savings but there was no copy at B&N to look at so I am not even sure what to compare this bundle against. If anyone knows the answer I would be grateful to find out.

I have no clue either

I didn't wan to open the box because if it's the wrong bungle I may have to return it

however I did pay almost $900.00 for the bundle and the course point smh

No problem @Cha_rn2B. I went ahead and placed order for individual components. I was just hoping the website or the store would have a better idea as to what was included in the bundle but alas, that was not the case. As for the cost - a friend had forewarned me that the books were going to be pricey for the first semester so I was somewhat prepared (well the cost is still a bit hard to swallow but a lot of these are for the entire program so that makes it a little more palatable).

Specializes in Med/Surg.

Hey everyone! I hope all your classes are going well! I am in the process of reapplying for the bridge program now as well as for another college. Just curious, is anyone working full time?? I've had a current nursing student tell me that "there was no way I could work AND go to RN school". I am determined to prove them wrong but it has made me nervous. I am an LPN now with 3.5 years of Med/Surg/Telemetry experience. Any suggestions? TIA!

The nursing textbook bundle at B&N includes Taylor Fundamentals of Nursing, Hinkle Brunner & Suddarth's Textbook of Medical-Surgic (2 volumes), Ricci Maternity and Pediatric Nursing, and Karch Focus on Nursing Pharmacology.
