Three strikes! i hope i passed this time around..

I took my NCLEX for the third time on Mon. Feb. 20th. I havent done the quick results and will wait till tomorrow to do so to see the unofficial results. I did however do the PVTrick just for kicks but it turned out that it brought me to the CC page.:uhoh21: Now im sitting here wishing that i didnt jump on the band wagon and do so.. i left the test center feeling so good that some how this time around i passed. i felt that the questions were familiar and i was able to answer it without spending so long on a question, and when it came to questions i wasnt sure about that i actually handled it and attacked it with educated guesses. used ABC's. Maslows and so forth to come up with my answers. I would say most of my questions were PRIORITY and a handful of SATA only had 2 pharm calc.which were the last 2 before my computer shut off at 85.. and i remember a question or 2 from the saunders comprehensive that ive used.

i was calm and relaxed and focused entering the testing center. i felt that i was focused too during the exam. i felt prepared...but doing the PVT and seeing that dreadful CC page, felt like i just got ran over by a truck... it brought down my confidence level so drastically that im in depression mode now. i took the test with confidence because i know i did everything differently this time around in preparing for the exam. I studied for 3 mos. as the test date got closer more Ques. were attempted i figured the more rationales i read the better for me. so in total i did about 5,000 all from SAUNDERS Q&a 4th ed. and SAUNDERS COMPREHENSIVE 5th. ed. i only used the CDROM from the COMPREHENSIVE 5th ed. because i had purchased it 2 months ago and its the latest edition.the only other material that i used was the AN STUDY GUIDE. i knew all my mnuemonics my labs, etc.. SO IF I FAILED. i really dont know what i did wrong. im still hopeful that maybe the PVT did not work for me. i have read a couple of posts about PVT being unreliable to them. but then again what if they entered the info incorrectly. theres always the ifs and buts vs to the hundreds of threads about PVT working for them. i duno what to think anymore. im too scared to see my quick results.. some one shed some light on me...

pls can anyone tell me whats SATA and PVT question in nclex is all about,just new in allnurses.com and am also international student.

Having a handful of SATA questions sounds like you should have passed. However, PVT really worked for me and for my classmates who also did it.. I hope this time PVT is wrong..

If ever, try using Pearson Reviews and Rationales book/online course..

I heard that if it brings you to the cc page, all it means is that your results are ready..... Because it won't bring you there if they aren't ready and make you pay for nothing. Am I wrong?

The PVT states that if it won't let you go to the Credit Card page and tells you to contact you Board Of Members and another test cannot be scheduled at this time then you passed but if it lets you go to the CC page and it will let you register to take the test then it means you failed.

but then again it could have taken u to the CC page if your test wasnt sent or if there was a problem with it. a couple of my peers had this happen to them. (we're in cali so we dont have the quick results we have to wait weeks!! ) but they were takento the CC page at 85 questions and waited for 3 weeks called the board and found out something went wrong ( idk what that something was) but had to wait another 2 weeks to find out they passed. after getting the letter they went and tried the PVT again and lo and behold they had the infamous "please contact your board, another test cannot be scheduled at this time..."

Please lt us know and please remember you can take that test as many times as you need!

Not really some states have a restriction on how many times you can sit the exam.

I hope you passed. I know how you feel, I failed 2 weeks ago and ive been out of school for awhile, did try different ways of studying but still unsuccessful. I wish you the best though, Let us know if you passed!
