Those who have ALREADY taken the Nclex in NYC HELP! (I.D Issue/?)

Published

I'm taking my exam at the 100 William Street downtown manhattan location. Does anyone know if they scan the State I.D when you go to take your exam? The reason I ask?

Well here's my dilemma:

I have a NON drivers state I.D (that does not expire until 2016) However, I recently (6month ago) got my Drivers Permit. Does anyone know if this Nulls or invalidates my NON drivers state I.D ???

Pearson Vue only excepts the Non Drivers I.D OR Driver License I.D

UGGHHH PLEASE HELPPPP My test is scheduled for this Wednesday August 3rd!

Why don't you call the issuing authority and ask? I would use the latest ID if it were me.

Yea I'm going to call them Monday morning because they are not opened today. And I cant use the latest I.D because Pearson Vue does not accept the learners Permit as a form of I.D.

A permit is totally different from state issued identification and that is why no one will recognize a learner's permit as identification. When you go take your road test the tester will ask you for the learner's permit and for identification which is your state ID. You will have NO problem what so ever using your state ID on test day.

There are many whom obtain their learner's permit that never go for their driver's license and that is why a state agency will never void a state issued identification if someone obtains a learner's permit.

Good luck on the test.

Joe

Thanks, thats what everyone keeps telling me. I'm just freaking out because If they dont accept it then I'll be turned away on the test day and marked as having failed.

THANKS AGAIN

Angie928,

I took my exam at 100 William st, and I didn't see them scan the ID, but either way it doesn't matter because I got both my non driver id and renewed my permit same month I took the nclex. As long as your state id is not expired then your are fine.

Quick question, does your address on your state id have to match whats on the record?
