Hey yall! Anyone applying for the Pre-FAll 2021 (begins in May 2021) at TJU at Center City. Feel free to share concerns about stats, the application process, and more!
Hi everyone!
So I plan on applying to TJ and Drexel once I complete Microbiology. I am a bit discouraged because my stats are low from Undergrad but I am hoping once I complete Microbiology it’ll boost my GPA up. I still have to take Nutrition but I know I can apply without it.
My undergrad was 2.7/2.8 but my pre-reqs I have all As and Bs. I am in a such a better place than I was at 18 in college. But If anyone has any advice it’ll be greatly appreciated! Or know anyone that was accepted with low stats but high GPA for pre reqs? I hope my LOR and personal statement really helps by me explaining why my GPA was trash in undergrad. I have a lot of experience so hopefully that can help too. I’ll keep you all posted.

I just got an interview! Mine is set for oct 21, so nervous, but thankful a lot of people on here are giving us information beforehand to help!
I came across a thread while searching their name one day that basically was mentioning how there was too many people accepted for the amount of resources they had to offer, people were saying the school didn’t submit something to the state which caused everyone’s time to take the NCLEX to be pushed back for months which affected jobs that people were offered upon graduation, and that instructors were not very helpful and they felt that they were on their own and not given what they needed to be successful in a rigorous program.
Now this is just what I was reading from a thread, I’m not sure what has been improved since, but hopefully some of it isn’t true or will get better with the upcoming fall session ? This is my first choice because their program has such great benefits with people looking to become an NP down the road and upon acceptance I would still attend regardless. Plus it is so close to home, I don’t want to relocate.
Im not sure if it was on the allnurses site or what, but it was recent that I read it, I’ll look for it again and post a link.

I just submitted my application and was wondering if there is anyway to resubmit my personal statement on the myjefferson portal?
Step 1: log into your account and select the submitted application, it's going to bring you to a completed/ Thank you for submitting your application blah blah blah.
Step 2: Once you are on that page scroll all the way down, you'll see the list of items that you submitted / uploaded when you finished the application.
Step 3: You're also going to see a box with a drop down option where you can upload any additional materials. Let me know if these instructions were a bit confusing to follow!

I understand what you’re saying, but if I upload a new Personal statement, will it replace the one that’s already there?
hi for everyone who's had an interview, been accepted, or preparing for an interview... do interviewers really care about your background, or are they pretty lenient considering we're all working at home right now? this is my first zoom interview! just wondering if I should really shift my room around!
thanks in advance ?
Got my acceptance today!! So excited! I’ve also been accepted to HFU and still waiting to hear back from 1 other school. Jefferson is my top choice though, so I’m super pumped! Congrats to everyone else who have also received acceptance and good luck to everyone still waiting to hear back or waiting for interviews. You’ll do awesome ?

I don’t believe they care. I could tell that almost everyone in my interview group were in their bedrooms like I was. The people interviewing us were also at their homes (it looked like). I would obviously just make sure your background (wherever that is) looks clean/put together! Times are weird/crazy so they’re very understanding. They don’t even mention or point anything out! They were super nice

I submitted my application on 9/14 and actually received an invite for the interview on 9/15. I had a really quick turn around for it. I know some people wait days and some wait weeks. I think it just depends on when you submit it and who is reviewing your application. There were 4 dates given to pick from, but I didn’t have my interview until 10/14 because I couldn’t do the other earlier dates offered. I heard back today, a week after, about my acceptance!

I believe that you can submit it without having the essay complete. It gives you the option to upload documents. I would check that with Jasmine Lee or someone else from admissions though !
