This week...

Published

So since I've been gone the trend of posting what you are working on this week kinda disappeared. So I'm going to attempt to resuscitate it. Even if you are working on CPNE let us know what you are doing to prepare for the CPNE (if you bother to get online and read this lol)

This week I am doing 2 chapters in my math class (boring much), finishing up LS2 I test on Friday, and doing my A&P I with Straighterline. (I had to drop A&P and Micro due to military absence and the teachers being the antithesis of helpful in the matter- crappy thing I only had my final left to do in A&PI). I am dedicating about 2.5 hours a day to A&P so that would get me done in 6 days with both I&II. I will then have left just LS3 and micro exam. I am going to get the materials to study micro right after I get done with A&P I. When I pass LS2 on Friday I will order CPNE prep materials... actually I will order them today since I will pass on Friday.

Oh and off-topic, I started working at home with a total-care including suction feeding tube etc for a traumatic brain injury pt since I've been gone and I love it.

Ugh tomorrow is not coming fast enough even though I don't think I'm ready. I am however 1/3 of the way done with my SL A&P I. I have been maintaining a good grade even though it is only for credit. I am going to go study my LS2 now :(

Welcome back! Good Luck tomorrow! You can do this!

I am getting sooo nervous, probably going to reschedule... Ugh I know this stuff (have a few weak areas but will be baby free tonight). The weak areas are tiny as I've been studying forever on this.

I took the practice exam in the study guide just now and got a 78% with only my Regulatory needing a bit of fine tuning. omg what to do.

4 hours until my moment of complete and utter nervouseness. Has anyone spoken with CharityLFM lately? I am curious as to how her gen eds are going and if she has done the fcca/cpne. I tried searching but haven't found anything.

My grade got worse. Having so long between tests really does not help me. I felt I wasn't ready in the section I did the worst in but I did some more questions and looked over it a bit more getting 80% on the nclex questions and a 78% on the practice test in the study guide and yet I still got a D.

I am going to keep plugging along at the rest that I need to do and if I do that all in a timely manner with little to no interruptions then I will ask to retest early and feel ready before I take it.

So sorry I know how you feel I got D's on both LS 2 & 3, finally went back and passed LS2 and just have LS3 left and nervous about retaking it. But it seems as I start studying I don't remember any of it :banghead: But this too shall pass and so will we! :lol2:

Oh darn it! Way to hang in there girl. What NCLEX questions are you referring to? I thought that Saunders NCLEX RN was a wonderful book to review with, butI thought the sample tests at the end of the chapters were too easy, and also some of the insulin test questions were wrong according to what excelsior wants (I actually called excelsior). I would always get very high scores in my saunders, and then my first excelsior practice exams (after I had already read all of the material) I would score around 55% for LS1 & 2, I did better for LS3. After I was done with my practice exams, I usually stayed away from my Saunder's and just focused on the Excelsior practice exams & rationales, and re-read Smeltzer & pharmacology book. Just wanted to throw out some things that helped me with these last couple of tests. Good luck on your next test MsPC :)
