Of an mushrooms can be dried and used in soups and stews.

Those mushrooms in the photo ARE rather pretty!
hppy - you are so ??????? There's a word I'm looking for - it is COMPLIMENTARY. Like an old soul aficionado of the fine things in life.
I'd be fearful of picking something harmful, but if you've become knowledgeable, then you'd be safe.
I do admire your style.

Why thank you!
I spent the first 30 years of my adult life running from an abusive past and a lot of bad decisions on my part. I started to get real when my son was born because I wanted a better legacy for him than the one my parents left me. Now that he is man-grown I am launching into a new era of living my life by design. I sat down and objectively looked at where I was and where I wanted to go then I started building on that. I have been focussing for several years on survival techniques in disaster situations, herbal medicines that compliment modern medical practices and just being the sort of balanced person I had wanted to be my entire life.
It has been a long journey but it's really starting to get fun.
So I took another walk through my garden and green house today. Things are really growing nicely. Also plant russet and purple viking potatoes. Had to give my little rescue dog a stern talking to about digging in the garden, She rolled over on her back and cried. I get the sense that she was pretty abused at some point. It's taken a year to make her understand that we aren't going to hit her or kill her and eat her.

Your plants look great everyone!
Update on my garden... So, I planted veggies late. The ones growing well (not bearing fruit yet) are the Squash, Zucchini, and Peppers (multiple kinds), tomatoes (multiple kinds). I need to repot my succulents, I changed up the flower bed a bit, my roses are growing well, and fruit and nut trees are on track (will need to re-fertilize them soon). I need to add cucumbers for salads and my pickling cucumbers. I will plant those from seeds today.
Also, I have herbal seedlings to repot and oregano I will plant from seed today. For some reason, everyone is out of oregano this year. I cannot find them as seedlings anywhere. Anyone else experiencing this?
Gardening envy here!
My Dalias are blooming and I have a volunteer pumpkin coming up by my mailbox. I will probably have to move it before my husband decides to kill it.

I think it depends on where you live. Also due to disruption in the supply chain many comercial growers just chose not to plant.

Me too for a lemon tree! Potted.
You can leave it outside in the good weather and bring it inside when the weather turns.
