Hmm, let me see....
- movies (romantic, tear jerker, scary, funny),
- music therapy -- lightens my moods,
- popcorn and/or kelloggs, corn pops cereal :) (good snacks anytime),
- maybe a relaxing bath for an hour?
- surf internet a little,
- the last thing I want to do is READ (unless if I HAVE to).
financial planning? kinda early for 21, isn't it? lol.
its never too early to get on a financial plan! make your money work for you not the other way around. if you start good financial habits now you can become very successful in life! money invested now for retirement has a long time to grow and compound, you could retire a multi millionaire! kudos for you!
ok i'll step off the soap box now...
When I was (much) younger most of my friends were musicians who would stop by after gigs at 2 am to visit. Or I would go to hear them play and then hit the all night diners with them.
Now I get online, watch weird late night movies, do my grocery shopping at 2 a.m. (no crowds), bake stuff, etc.
Sometimes when I'm in a town like my current contract I hit the casino at about 1 am and play the penny slots. That's when all the really "interesting" people come out.....like the sleepwalker from the hotel who wandered into the casino one night - and apparently slept in the nude!
Question??So people who work nights...do you always stay up all night on your days off and then sleep during the day?? I'm possibly getting a night job and I'm married so I would like to at least see my husband on days off.....what do all of you night people do who have families??
It depends on how many days off that I have. If I have 5 days off, then I'll sleep for about 3 hours that first day and stay up as late as I can the last day off. If I only have 2 days off, then I'll keep to the regular up all night sleep all day routine. I am married with kids, and usually see them when I get up. If the kids have a game or something, I'll sacrifice a little sleep to watch. We just make it work.

I am newly nocturnal and have been searching AN for some ideas of what to do on nights off and didnt find anything. I am loving the night shift but I am a very busy-body person and I dont know what to do with myself on my the random night off I may have where I dont have another day off to convert to days. I'm reading, catching up on TV, and exercising...but thats about it.
Any other ideas for how to keep myself occupied? Most of my friends from nursing school are still orienting on days and havent come over to the dark side yet, so I know Ill have some company soon, but for now I am so bored!
Thanks!
