oh man! I'm so nervous!! I don't have any kids but I am married, and it worries me that working nights may be detrimental to my marriage! I'm not quite sure what to do at this point!

Mesa~ Thanks for your advice! That is what I did as well. I got several opinions from people who do a lot of hiring themselves and they all said the same thing you did. Be honest but spin it in a way that shows you want to make the best decision for the company. I think it went well too. She seemed to appreciate it and gave me a week....I have to let her know on the same day as my other interview!! Talk about timing! I'm hoping my next interview will go well...I have a good feeling about it..and hope she can let me know the same day *fingers crossed*

I'm just a little hesitant to do that b/c I'm afraid that will burn a bridge and maybe I'd like to work there in the future...I don't want to leave them with a sour taste in their mouth, and they have expressed that they don't like it when RN's start there and quit in a month to go work in the hospital...:sstrs:

It's a part-time home health company it's a M-F 9-5 job...the hospital job is a night shift. I don't want to do both, but haven't been offered both jobs....yet....I don't want to lose an opportunity in case I don't get the hospital job, but don't want to lead them on thinking that they've hired me and then quit one week later...

Just to let everyone know....I did the PVT when I took NCLEX, got the "good pop-up" and it DID work!!! So anyone who gets that, have some confidence!!

Question?? So people who work nights...do you always stay up all night on your days off and then sleep during the day?? I'm possibly getting a night job and I'm married so I would like to at least see my husband on days off.....what do all of you night people do who have families??

I need some advice ASAP!!! I have a part-time opportunity with a home health company and need to call them back with a decision. However, I also have a GOOD chance of getting on with a local hospital (which I would prefer) I haven't heard back from the hospital yet but expect to w/in the next week and a half. I don't know what to tell the Home Health company....I want to be honest with them and tell them I possibly have another opportunity and would like a week or so to weigh my options and decide what would be best for me and my family or should I just tell them I need a week to think about it??? I don't have any advice but Congrats!!!! I just took NCLEX today and think I passed (according to Pearson Vue trick haha)! I really want to work in any area that involves babies or peds but have a feeling that I will have to put in my time before I land a job where I really want...anyways congrats on making it to your dream!! Ok! I just got home from the testing center, I too shut off at 75 Q's...did NOT expect it to tho!! I had prob. 6-7 SATA's and a few nutrition...I wasn't going to do the PVT, but after reading everyone else's posts, I did and it gave me the "good pop-up"!!!:redbeathe:redbeathe I'm excited but still want to wait to find out!!!:hpygrp:
