Stop texting behind the nurse's station. You're always calling students out on unprofessioanl behavior. I guess texting about what restaurant you'll be eating at tonight with your family qualifies as professional.
Look, it's my first time giving an injection. I'm nervous, excuse me for being human.
When we have an assignment due, and I hand mine in on time, why can other students hand it in a week late and not be penalized? Remember how you stress professionalism????
I know you have your favorites in your clionical group. You let them leave early, you give them easy patients, you gossip with them like you're in high school. I get it. Enough already.
I'm glad you got your nursing degree from a prestigious school. If they knew the way you act in clinicals, I'm sure they'd demand it back.
I know you're married, have kids, blah blah blah. Don't remind me every clinical that little Paige or Madison is starting to be potty trained.
If you roll your eyes ONE MORE TIME, I hope they get stuck!!

ahhahahaa you are so mean but this was so funny "If you roll your eyes ONE MORE TIME, I hope they get stuck" I can't stop laughing.
1. Don't tell me not to be nervous
2. Don't tell me not to be sensitive" I do feel sorry for people and I can't just change in a day"
3. Don't yell at me for "not reminding" you to give meds---that's your job , plus I can't remember everything.
4. Don't tell me wash you hands in front of the patient....because " I already did before you come in the room"---you're not the only one who washes hands hellooo
5. Don't tell me to read , this, this, that, and that, because we are going over it next time----and we never actually do.
5. don't take my pen from my hand to write something down---just ask politely

Thank you so much for reading my strengths and pushing me further than I ever thought I could go. I've learned so much from you. If I can be half as good of a nurse as you are, I'll be amazing.

Thanks for teaching me that sometimes praying with a patient or offering prayer to patients and their family will lift their spirits up. I am comforted to know that we can help to heal the spirit as well as the body and mind. I had a wonderful instructor who taught that spirituality is VERY important in the healing process.

Could you please give me a little bit of encouragement now and then?

For the most part, my instructors have been amazing. The only thing I would say is, "I'm an adult learner, so please, treat me like and adult. I'm a wife, a mother of two, not some kid in HS w/ very little experience of daily living."

Thank you for being the kind of instructors that other NS wish they had!!! You have taught me so much, pushed me when I needed to be pushed, encouraged me, congratulated me and never had an ill word for anyone! You have been so awesome!

I have had some great instructors and some not so great. I also work in the hospital and have lots of instructors come through with their classes...
Lead by example please don't degrade people to make a point, it's not very nurse-like.
Scare tactics aren't productive in RN school. Just causes extra stress and scattered students who become afraid to ask questions... ummm hello DANGEROUS!!
Everyone starts somewhere, remember? No matter how much you read/study you will not fully understand some things until you do/experience them x amount of times.
Good grades don't always make a great nurse. 100% of our grades come from tests. If you don't test well, watch out you'll be cut. Some other ding dongs test just fine and go on to pass the NCLEX!!!! Scary. Personality, social skills and intentions should weigh more in RN school.
Most people take RN school very seriously already after years of hard work applying and trying to get in. Make it enjoyable for us, we have dedicated our heart and time and loads of money for this!!!!
To the outstanding instructors, THANK YOU for making a difference and investing in the nursing field and my future. The experiences and knowledge you bring are priceless and truly appreciated. Thanks for the kind words and support when we need it the most. People like you are the reasons why we admire nurses. We'll never forget you!!!!!
