Things I should not have to stay, but say multiple times per day.
(MS/HS setting)
- Carry the ice back to class. Please don't walk and try and ice your ankle at the same time.
"I know the new table is beautiful, but you CANNOT lick it" said as a group of students was standing around a newly delivered carved wood table for out lobby. They has their grimey little hands all over it, rubbing it, then one 4th grader said "It's so beautiful, I can't stop touching it. I want to lick it!" and all of the other students chimed in "me too, me too". So gross

with the older kids, I've started to say "Well, your class is about to eat (snack/lunch) and your (stomach ache/headache) just started 10 minutes ago. What do you think I'm going to tell you?" They know me well enough now that most of them kinda look at their feet and mumble "Try to eat lunch and come back at recess if its still bothering me...." and walk out. But, I still wish I didn't have to say it...

Right! And I have elementary school kids. They come right when lunch is about to start and I'm like, "you know what you have to do right?" They're like "eat or poop?" ?
