I have a bad habit of focusing on the negative around me, and as an effort to realign my thought processes I thought I'd start a Gratitude List of the wonderful and beautiful things around me that tend to get overlooked as I slog through my day. (Nod to ixchel and the "This Week I Have Learned..." threads.)

I am grateful for:

1. My husband

2. My children

3. My fat, smelly dog

4. Coffee

5. The smell of the air after a good rain

6. To know what "perfect silence" sounds like provided by a fresh fallen snow (I miss that!)

7. Seeing my guitar sitting right next to my husband's. I think it's sweet.

8. My comfy bed.

9. The huge orange/yellow moon last night. It was spectacular!

10. The fact that I don't have to take the people that I work with home with me.

11. Frogs.

There's a million more (funny how that happens) but that'll do for now. I have the warm/fuzzies going, and that was the idea.
