U.S.A. Washington DC

Hi,

I went to the interview today. I inteviewed with a nursing manager from a med/surg unit. Does anyone know about the other managers that were not there? Also, did anyone find out what the starting salary was? I thought that this might be a nice blog to start to share ideas and information about the upcoming program.:p

Hey,

I interviewed on the 8th as well. I interviewed with a med-surg/behavioral health unit 2C. I got a rejection email the next day that went straight to my spam so I didn't see it right away. I got a call the morning of the 16th saying that the email was a misunderstanding and I was offered a position :D The program starts 2/22/11 and the starting base pay is $27.67.

Hi there! I was wondering how you felt on the clinical interview questions. I haven't heard anything back yet since my interview.....I was wondering if there is still hope they may be wanting to offer me a position, because I didn't feel too good about the clinical part, everything else I felt I did well on though. Thanks!

I got the same email, but I did not recieve a call from them. I know that I answered the clinical questions well. I just graduated and I do not have any prior experience in a hospital. I was wondering if that mattered. I am still holding out hope.

I was nervous about the clinical questions as well. I felt that I messed them up terribly, but obviously not. I don't think they were looking for you to answer every question accurately, but taking note of critical thinking skills. I am a new grad myself. I graduated last Friday with no hospital/nursing experience. So I highly doubt that matters.

I graduated last May! took my NCLEX in June and was a bit rusty! I froze...... She said I have a great personality and I don't if she was trying to be nice because I sounded like a dum dum. I am hoping no news soo far means good news! Are you from DC or somewhere else?

I live in Maryland about 25 min drive from the hospital. Well if you haven't gotten a rejection email yet you still have a chance.

:nurse: hopefully my fingers are CROSSED!! Sorry last question! have you checked your status on the Career center site where you can check your app status? When I log in it gives me a reference number thats it.

All that shows is a req number on mine as well

I got offered a position! I am very excited! Now I need to do a WHOLE lot of planning to be ready by the 2/22/10. I will be moving out there and was wondering if anyone knew of safe places to live outside the city?:nurse:

CONGRATS :yeah:!!! What unit will you be working on? Silver spring is a really nice area right outside of the city. It is located in Montgomery County. Alexandria Virginia is pretty nice to and you can find some really nice places and its cheaper than living in DC.

I will be on 1C. med/surg! I am sooo EXCITED!
