Children's National Hospital PICU

Specializes in NICU.

Does anyone know what the patient population is at Children's in DC? Do they have kids usually on drips and ecmo? I'm definitely interested in CRNA school in the future and want to see if this would be a good area to get experience before school. The programs I looked into do accept PICU experience.

I don't know the acuity of the patient's there, but wanted to cheer you along!

I haven't worked there personally but a classmate of mine did her senior preceptorship on that unit. She liked it a lot and said the patients were critical/generally pretty sick. I think the ecmo patients go to the cardiac ICU though.
