Just a bit ago the top three threads involved:
1.I have a DWI. Can I be a nurse?
2.I am stupid. Can I be a nurse?
3.If it takes me five times to pass NCLEX, Can I be nurse.
Not much left to add. Says it all.
I love the post that end with "Am I the only one?"
Always tempting to say "Yes. You are the only one. I have never ever heard of such a thing, ever, in the history of the 500,000+ members of this site, or of any person ever, to have such an experience."
Or "are you familiar with the search function?"

Yes! Along with every single thread entitled 'What stethoscope should I buy' and 'What are the best nursing shoes'.
I have discovered I am a terrible nurse. I drink alcohol on my days off- having one right now! Sometimes I swear at work. Sometimes I am a little impatient with those needy pts. Sometimes I stop to run an errand on my way home from work in my scrubs! I am overweight (I call it under tall, but whatever) and the worst thing of all, sometimes I don't smile and say Hello to the students crowding me out of the conference room!!
I'm floored by some of the posts in that forum. "It's OK, getting a DUI could happen to anyone." Um, on what planet? People CHOOSE to get DUIs.I think it was moved to the "Nurses with a Criminal History" forum. The fact that we even need such a forum saddens me greatly.
It reminds me of this girl who was in my LPN program for about 30 min. She suddenly had an emergency when we were about to do our drug test. I was not happy. About 300 people applied for 40 spots and someone got denied because of her.
What should I do????Call the police?
Call his manager at his hospital and report him???
Or, should I PRAY for him?????
I just personally witnessed my neighbor, after he got home from work, GET THIS!!!!!!! in his backyard with HIS SECOND BEER walking around WITHOUT SHOES, or A SHIRT, eating a GREASY HAMBURGER WITHOUT WASHING HIS HANDS FIRST, and listening to GUNS AND ROSES!!!!!! OMG, OMG, OMG! He's a NURSE! It doesn't matter that he has the next three days off!!!!! THERE COULD STILL BE ALCOHOL IN HIS BODY, HEAVY METAL MUSIC IN HIS EARS, AND GREASE IN HIS ARTERIES WHEN HE GOES BACK TO WORK!!!!!!!!!!!
He definitely needs to be reported, for bad taste in music.
If I could figure out how to attach a poll, I'd ask:Who thinks I should start a new line of uniform scrubs, called Fomite Factory?
I would like to invest in this business venture. I would like to create a complementary line of sweat pants!

Are you me? I don't think I have two user names, but now I'm confused....

Are you a nun? If you haven't driven the getaway car drunk after shoplifting, you must be a nun....
