I just got a call from vjohn himself. He wanted to know who he could contact at my school. He said that he was trying to get a hold of someone for the requested info of tuition and fees. No surprise here, he could not get a hold of anyone, or get a phone call returned. He asked me if I would just fill out the form using my bill for the fall and email it to him. I just wish my school would be a little more reliable, it is frustrating. At least I know that I am still in the running...Good luck everyone!

oooo it sounds like you are being taken into SERIOUS consideration for him to call you up!!!! How exciting!
It was pulled from EXPERIAN credit bureau.Also, they want to make sure you are NOT delinquent on Federal payment obligations (to include, FHA loans, child support, Federal income taxes, etc). Basicaly anything to do with defaulting on the Federal government. It doesn't have anything to do with if you pay your Visa cards, medical collections.
3. NSP applicants who have a history of not honoring prior legal obligations, as evidenced by one or more of the following factors, may not be selected:
a. Default on a prior service obligation to the Federal government, a State or local government, or other entity, even if the applicant subsequently satisfied that obligation through service, monetary payment or other means;
b. Default on any Federal payment obligations (e.g., Health Education Assistance Loans, FHA Loans, Federal income tax liabilities, federally guaranteed/insured loans such as student or home mortgage loans, etc.) or non-Federal payment obligations (e.g., court-ordered child support payments); or
c. Write off of any Federal or non-Federal debt as uncollectible.
So I filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy 6 years ago after my husband was killed bc who thinks to by life insurance at age 22. No pity here just curious if that automatically disqualifies me under part c????

Bankruptcy "discharge" is different than a creditor who reports a debt as uncollectible...uncollectible is the creditor has repeatedly tried to get the debtor to pay and after 12-24 months they will write the debt off. Did you have a mortgage loan foreclosure?? They could have an issue with that...because those loans are usually backed by Freddie Mac/Fannie Mae (government entities).
I think more importantly is how has your credit been since the BK? If you have paid your other bills on time and started to re-establish yourself I think you will be pleasantly suprised with your credit report...(I worked as a mortgage lender for many years before nursing school, so this information is from my experience)

alot of times its almost impossible to cancel that stuff. try to cancel and find out a month later that they are billing you. maybe since it's through your bank you wont have that problem.
on another note, in response to "being the smart one", i sense a smartass in our midst.
