The HRSA nursing scholarship is available now. I just submitted my application although I'm probably a long shot.
If you're interested in pursuing a career in healthcare, you may be eligible for a scholarship through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). The HRSA Scholarship Program is designed to support students in various healthcare disciplines who are committed to serving underserved communities and helping to address the shortage of healthcare professionals in those areas.
HRSA offer scholarships to help pay for health professions' education.
All Scholarship awardees will provide a one-year service commitment for each year of scholarship support received.
The application cycle typically opens in late Winter or early Spring and closes in late Spring or early Summer, so be sure to check the website regularly for updates.
To be eligible for the HRSA Scholarship, you must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an accredited program that leads to a degree in one of the following disciplines:
You must also be a U.S. citizen, a national, or permanent resident.
Have no federal judgment liens and service commitment.
If you meet the eligibility criteria, you can apply for scholarship through the HRSA's online application system.
If you have any questions about the program or the application process, the HRSA offers resources and support to help guide you through the process. Don't miss out on the opportunity to receive financial assistance while pursuing your dream of a career in healthcare and serving those in need.

I pretty much give up.
Ugh. So basically we aren't finding out today? I'm supposed to be studying for LPN boards (we have the option in our RN program to take the LPN boards during the summer between the 1st and 2nd year) and I kept telling myself that it would be a lot easier to study once I knew for sure... ugh. So are we in agreement (based on the analyst phone calls etc) that we're not receiving any information except by snail mail, and hopefully sometime this week?
I'm SO bummed . I just really wanted to know! I know you all are too, but I have enjoyed reading and working together to try and put this all together, everyone seems as driven and determined as we nursing students are rumored to be :)
Looking forward to that Facebook page!:)

Im going to have to make my mail person some cookies and milk... Wait this isin't Santa but maybe he will bring me a pretty wrapped envelope with a special prize from HRSA inside. Wouldn't that be nice!!
While the wait has made me anxious, its been nice to hear from all of you on the board. Can't wait for a facebook board to start! Is anyone planning to attend the NSNA annual conference next spring?
Try to enjoy your week.... even if it consists of planting a permanent chair on your front porch to wait for your mail person. At least the weather is rather nice and there is always plenty of studying to be done! Speaking of which, I need to get back to!
Have fun at your baseball games ladies. While I like both the Yankees and Red Sox, I must say my loyalties lie to the Tigers!!!!!!!!
I need to be reading Med-Surg for tomorrow and instead I keep hitting refresh on this page over and over and over like some magical being is going to display the list of awardees..................
lol you guys are too funny! I feel similar!! Please go study and ace your Med-Surg exam!
Hey, everyone!I've just read about 50 pages of this thread and now I'm more stressed than ever! And I'm not the one who applied for the scholarship! LOL! My girlfriend left for a cruise today with some of her nursing school friends and I have been put on "email/snail-mail" high alert. I haven't seen anything come through yet, and I've just about worn out the refresh keys on my computer. I hope today is the day, because I'm not sure if I can take much more of this stress!!! I can only imagine how you guys must feel!
