The HRSA nursing scholarship is available now. I just submitted my application although I'm probably a long shot.
If you're interested in pursuing a career in healthcare, you may be eligible for a scholarship through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). The HRSA Scholarship Program is designed to support students in various healthcare disciplines who are committed to serving underserved communities and helping to address the shortage of healthcare professionals in those areas.
HRSA offer scholarships to help pay for health professions' education.
All Scholarship awardees will provide a one-year service commitment for each year of scholarship support received.
The application cycle typically opens in late Winter or early Spring and closes in late Spring or early Summer, so be sure to check the website regularly for updates.
To be eligible for the HRSA Scholarship, you must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an accredited program that leads to a degree in one of the following disciplines:
You must also be a U.S. citizen, a national, or permanent resident.
Have no federal judgment liens and service commitment.
If you meet the eligibility criteria, you can apply for scholarship through the HRSA's online application system.
If you have any questions about the program or the application process, the HRSA offers resources and support to help guide you through the process. Don't miss out on the opportunity to receive financial assistance while pursuing your dream of a career in healthcare and serving those in need.

Thanks guys! I did it, and it still doesn't show anything... I didn't figure it would, but it was worth a look. It seems like pretty much everyone else that received the emails had their credit pulled. Are JoeNurse and I the only ones to receive emails but no credit pull?? If so, I think I might go ahead and call someone tomorrow... though of course it won't be my analyst who is on vacation...
Nope - no credit pull here, either. C'est la vie. :-/
I sent an email to CL to clarify my situation and to my surprise she will be back to her office on the 30th???!! Everyone here got their credits pulled, so there is no other explanation that my credit was not pulled except that my file did not get to her hands. I will call tomorrow because it seems that she made her decisions already without looking at my file.
I sent her an email on Thursday the 12th and 5pm CST and got that same "Out of the Office" reply back but then on Friday the 13th at 7pm CST, she responded to me...maybe she will get back to you. I know it is tough to have to deal with this but just think about how much it will be worth when you do get it. Are you sure you are seeing your most recent credit report? Someone on here said that her VM said she would be out until the 23rd...that doesn't go together...I really think she is in the office and just put that to be able to distract us from contacting her...have faith...it will work out...
Joe Nurse, FTStudentFTMom, twois, and I think mll or someone ...
I also have CL, I also got ALL the emails but NO credit check. And before anyone asks, I first signed up for the "freecreditreport.com" trial (and as an aside, I wonder how trustworthy they are since they had my credit score listed as about 100 points higher than anyone else), when I didn't see the inguiries there, I searched the equifax site for a free report since I was denied credit within the last 60 days, and when I didn't see it there, I went with the advice here and signed up for the "privacy alert" trial (that one had scores from all 3 bureaus on it and they were ALL approx 100 points less than from the fcr.com site)
I'm worried that means we're alternates, although I suppose it may just mean she's not finished ...
Do each of you have multiple years left? I feel like JoeNurse may be in his last year and FTStudentMom just starting, but you know it all blends together after a while of reading these ;-}
From what oklahoma said, it seems pretty rare for them to grant multiple year scholarships up front. I asked for 2 years on my application. I'm
By the way, thanks Oklahoma for the stipend info, I had only seen that one paragraph with the 15 days in it and thought I was going to only get stipend for about 8 months, because of you, I went back and reread that whole 37 page Guidance that someone posted a link to http://www.hrsa.gov/loanscholarships/scholarships/Nursing/guidance.pdf and it seems obvious now that you are right. It makes sense, since the commitment is to work for full years, therefore the stipend should be for the full year.
Oh and sunraygirl, I also saw that on their website about going back for your BSN. They definitely make it clear they won't pay for that once you have an ASN, even if you're in a dual degree program when you apply. I actually have a transfer application in to Pitt to get my BSN instead of the ASN program I'm currently in and from what I read, even if they allowed me to transfer, they might not have the funds to pay the difference in tuition ;-{
All of that's still hopeful me talking LOL
Gypsydancer,
My program is an Accelerated BSN in 12 months. If you think about it, I am a perfect candidate for them. Theyvonly ace to pay me for one year and I would do 2 years for them.
Yes, you are correct, I have two years remaining.
I don't really knwo what to think anymore. At this point, I am pretty resigned to the fact that I am likely not going to be receiving the scholarship, which is ok... I would just like to know! As would everyone else.
It seems to me that there are more people with CL that received emails but no credit inquiry than those with other analysts. It could just be that those are the ones that are most standing out in my memory.

I think you're right. But if you look back, there were people with CL who had credit pulled over a couple of days last week - and now it's the weekend. I know exactly how you're feeling right now, but she may just be going slow, or doing paperwork in a different order, or something. Maybe some analysts are getting all the credit checks out of the way at once, and some are getting them done as they go through the recipients. I don't know. But it does seem like most of us still waiting on any sort of credit check are clustered with certain analysts, you're right.
Ps My last name starts with "H" and I'm in PA
I'm pretty sure other people from PA were already pulled, and I know someone with CL said they had theirs checked and their name was pretty much in the middle of the alphabet ...
That's why I compulsively checked all those different reports over the last few days
