The HRSA nursing scholarship is available now. I just submitted my application although I'm probably a long shot.
If you're interested in pursuing a career in healthcare, you may be eligible for a scholarship through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). The HRSA Scholarship Program is designed to support students in various healthcare disciplines who are committed to serving underserved communities and helping to address the shortage of healthcare professionals in those areas.
HRSA offer scholarships to help pay for health professions' education.
All Scholarship awardees will provide a one-year service commitment for each year of scholarship support received.
The application cycle typically opens in late Winter or early Spring and closes in late Spring or early Summer, so be sure to check the website regularly for updates.
To be eligible for the HRSA Scholarship, you must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an accredited program that leads to a degree in one of the following disciplines:
You must also be a U.S. citizen, a national, or permanent resident.
Have no federal judgment liens and service commitment.
If you meet the eligibility criteria, you can apply for scholarship through the HRSA's online application system.
If you have any questions about the program or the application process, the HRSA offers resources and support to help guide you through the process. Don't miss out on the opportunity to receive financial assistance while pursuing your dream of a career in healthcare and serving those in need.

Agh....I am moving across the country on Sunday (but keeping my permanent mailing address the same). If we don't hear anything this week....I will have to ask my sister to open all my mail to see if the award letter came! It will not be fun to not be in control of my own mail, especially while waiting for something so important!
I am having a super boring day :) and I stumbled across this link. Its the PDF for the application guidance for last year ftp://ftp.hrsa.gov/bhpr/nursingscholarship/aib.pdf. I just thought it was interesting how different the process was from last year to this year. It also goes to show we can't compare anything from this year to last year. Last year they had to submit a signed contract, the tax info and the banking info with the original application.
I can't help but be a little disheartened... I have CL and still no credit pull or correspondence. I'm trying to just be patient and let it roll of my back but everyday it gets more frustrating. I just keep telling myself that if I don't get it there is good reason and life will work out better that way. I do have my concerns about the service commitment interering with plans for grad school. Either way I will find solice in a cliche. "what's meant to be will find a way!"
She checked your credit today? Hmmm. Too bad I don't have a free credit report to use. I know I can do one of those credit monitoring things, but they are so hard to cancel.
Even if you had to pay for one month of membership to one of those stupid credit monitoring places (which I can't stand)...it might be worth it...$14.95 for peace of mind. Or (like it did for me) could cause me to just keep logging in to one more place to check on things....:)
I have cf and I had my credit pulled on 8/5/10...I really hope we don't have to wait till September to find out if we get the grant or not...I'm due to have my second baby in November and if I get the grant then I won't have to work very much and honestly I would really love to not have to work that much.
I'm glad we have this website so we can all share our frustration and impatience (lol) :) It wouldn't be as much fun if we all had to wait alone with no one to talk to about it...
hey guys... I have CL and saw that my credit was checked. I spoke to CL yesterday (FINALLY!). I asked her when will we be notified if we received the award. She said "well we're trying to input that information now so hopefully by the end of this month you will know". I replied with a thank you and she said "mmmhmmm" & hung up. i sensed attitude but idk.
