Hi All!

I'm a crazy father of 2 ex-premed who just recently turned down Northwestern to go into a RN program.

I already have an Associate in Science, but I'll be getting another ADN and then go to a 4 yr school.

When I went to an info session about the RN program ill be trying to get into, out of like 70 ppl only 5 were guys.

So I want to know are there any men out there?

Hey just wanted to say hey...and add me to the list..lol I am a 25 y/o, making my way to the top. Going for my CRNA...

I have had lots of people ask me if I am going to be a 'male nurse' - I alway tell them I tried to be a female nurse but flunked the physical. I start in 8 weeks.

I am glad to find this site and especially comrads of the Male nusing population. Greetings. I will be starting my Nurse core in Jan. at Austin Peay in Tennessee. I'm anxious and ready! I've been a CNA for about 6 years and truly this is my Call. The clock is ticking though since I'm stairing 40 in the face. Please feel free to email me with advice/comments or just to say Hey.

BTW an update.

Even though I turned down Northwestern, I'm now completing my BA at DePaul and I I'm also starting A&P at for my nursing program in a few weeks.

Ugh, look, it's still light out!

Anyway, my four direct entry master's choices were Boston College, Northeastern, University of San Francisco, and UCSF. I'm now thinking that UCSF is by far my #1 choice. In fact, if I don't get in this year, my girlfriend and I will probably move down there anyway, and I'll try to get a job as an HA while qualifying for residency.

Yeah here's another guy going into nursing. Coming from an analytical instrumentation background (mass spectroscopy) to nursing, we'll see how this adventure goes...

Zat is right, pilgrim. I can wipe it or I can kick it. Zo stay in zat bed. I'll be back!

My patients need Arnold Schwarzenegger style nursing from time to time.

Ive learned more about women from the female students than I ever did with my ex-girlfriends. I have a little crush on one of them.. but she's kinda old for me. oh well, gotta get back to priorities... STUDYING!:p
