  1. Alex I still have to take micro so if you want to switch let me know LOL
  2. Tell me the scoop. I start in Oct.
  3. I am in IT also and after 20 years tired of the insecurity and outsourceing. I start nursing school this October and am really looking forward to it. Take all the pre reqs and go for it.
  4. I am starting in October also. See you then.
  5. Yep, I agree with you. I have lost my love of IT mainly because of the way we are currently being treated. Longer hours - no respect. I start nursing school in October. I too am looking forward to it.
  6. I am in A&P right now and enjoy the class. I will be starting nursing classes in the fall but I am not sure of my exact start date yet.
  7. The text book is around 100-115 and the lab book another 80 or so.

Thanks - I did get accepted at Macomb for the fall and anxious to get going. It's never too late to be what you might have been.
  9. I currently work in the IT field and have for the last 20 years. With much of our work going overseas we have seen our workforce cut in half in the past few years and now they tell us that another 50% will be gone in one more year. I started looking for a new career and kept coming back to nursing. I am taking A&P right now and just got accepted at our local community college for an ADN program in the fall. I am very excited about a new career. I too will be quitting my job but I believe in being proactive and finding a new career before the ax on IT completely falls. I feel sorry for the students majoring in IT right now. I can tell you we have been shafted by our corporate leaders who are only interested in the short term profits. If I was majoring in IT now I would seriously consider another field. I don't see it returning to the U.S. any time soon.
  10. I am in also. Was very relieved and now very anxious to get started. Starting dates wont be out until May. See everyone at the orientation meeting.
  11. I got my letter of acceptance on March 30 and was sure relieved. Luckily I wasn't home and my wife got to open it and then she called me. I would have been nervouse to open it also.

Yes, I know the selective admissions is pretty tough I am looking very good on GPA and test scores. Are you or any other students still able to work part time and keep up with the pace?

About A&P, several people have told me about Mr. Fields. I registered for the MW class Lab first. The book didn't say yet who taught the class. Now, I just have to wait for the ratings to come out in April and hope.

I am hoping to start my ADN at Macomb CC in Fall 2004. Currently employed in computer industry. My wife is in the MA program at Macomb and I want to enter the medical field also. I am 49 years old and have a daughter in 7th grade. I will be taking AP next semester.
