Hi all, I'm so happy I found this place. I have so many questions. First I'm 23 and in IT I have been there for wow 4 years already. I have experienced layoffs and outsourcing.. This seems to happen every 2 years because here we go again. For awhile now I'm been highly considering a new career due to the fact IT and business I'm really sure I don't want to sit in a cubicle for 8 hours a day anymore. Oh it gets so old. I have many friends and a loving boyfriend in the medical field (med school/nursing/emts). And it just seems something that I would be really good at and love since I am a "caregiver" and "nurture" to everyone. That is my personality. OK so here is my dilemma. I've gotten into IT thru a technical school training and only have an associates degree. Some of my credits did transfer to the school I'm going to now. (Univeristy of Phoenix Online). But I do not have any bio or chem and have one sociology calss done . I need some suggestions of what I need pre-requiste wise prior to entering into the nursing program. Any suggestions? I thought about doing my bachelors degree in business and then taking some night classes to accomplish my pre-requisites. And then take two years off of work and go back and finish up my nursing degree. Any help would be appreciated. and since most of my friends took the typical way and went thru a four year university they don't know how to help. Also, do they offer nursing programs at night at all?? I'm not sure if this is even feasible but worth a shot to ask? Please help if you can.. Thanx, A newbie
