Hi All!
I'm a crazy father of 2 ex-premed who just recently turned down Northwestern to go into a RN program.
I already have an Associate in Science, but I'll be getting another ADN and then go to a 4 yr school.
When I went to an info session about the RN program ill be trying to get into, out of like 70 ppl only 5 were guys.
So I want to know are there any men out there?
Senior at Otjiwarongo Nursing College in Namibia,Africa. Well am realy happy that am finally finishing hope to specialise in Psychiatric and get to do what i like although many say am signing my death certificate due to the fact that i want to work with mental people but hey what the heck i enjoy it !!
How's it gong everyone? I'm a 23 yr old nursing student from Kansas. Nursing school has been quite an experience for me. If you don't already know you will find out soon that, time managment is critical. Most of us have other things going on in our lives and school is just another one of those things, so it can be tough at times. While in college I've had to juggle playing football and nursing school for 5 years so if there are others out there wanting to compete in collegiate sports, it can be done. I'm kind of late to join a discussion like this being that I am in my last semester of nursing school, but I figured if anything I could maybe help provide some sort of guidance to some of the new guys. Good luck to all of you that are starting this semester, it will be a journey with many peaks and valleys but just keep your eye on the prize, graduation! P.S. Be nice to the woman you are in calsses with (you will be out numbered), I am 1 of 2 guys in a class of 40. They can help make your next couple years very smooth or extremely painful.

From a scale of 1 to 10, how difficult is nursing school in your opinion?
Hey there boys. I'm 27, wrapping up my pre-reqs and I plan on getting my BSN. I want to specialize in trauma. I should be starting the program this next fall. TEAS testing is coming up for me soon. But hey- I've already decided that (God willing) when I go through the capping ceremony, that I'd like to use a sailor cap- a dixie cup hat- and trim it with black edging on the brim up top. What do you guys think? I guess if they won't let me use that, I'll just wear it for my graduation pictures. Hey- we've got to have something, ya know?!
