The College of New Rochelle Accelerated Nursing Program 2015

Published

Hello All,

I just got accepted to The College of New Rochelle's Accelerated Nursing Progam starting in June 2015. I AM OVERJOYED, I have some things to smooth out before the start of the program (taking 2 CLEP exams) but I am so excited. I completed my first bachelors in Sept 2014 , so I am excited to get back into school. Has anyone attended the College of New Rochelle? Any tips/advice/comments? Let me know!

I took it as 2 different classes. They have combination classes with. CPR and First Aid but it doesn't seem to be the one we need, which is BLS for "Healthcare Providers".

Anyone applied for Fall 2015 Individualized Program?

I heard BLS is new to the red cross. I just got my cert in it Wednesday and I will be taking first aid 6/1 with Aquatic Solutions.

Hey everyone was a Facebook group created?

yes I got accepted into the individualized program for fall 2015. I sent my 300 deposit right away in april. they received my final transcript on may 19th. I have filled out and submitted the health forms, received a financial aid packet and haven't heard from them again. I keep calling and leave voicemails but no response. I sent an email and got a reply to call a specific number to have all my questions answered. I have been calling that number several times and left voice messages with my name and number but all to no avail! I just wanna know what else to do to complete the admission process so that I can travel early july and be back before the orientation. It is super frustrating to say the least. I have to look into applying for private loans but I want to register for classes first in order to know how much to borrow. The correspondence is very lousy! I don't even know if I need cpr certificate for the clinicals and if so which one exactly. the communication is terrible.

I answered some of your questions here in the other CNR thread:

I'm not sure who you're trying to contact, but I'll PM you the name and contact information for someone that handles a lot of the coordination for students, and is extremely good at getting back to students quickly (which makes me wonder who you're contacting as I've never had any issues with the school and communication). I hope that will help.

NurseAlly817 hey Im also interested in relocating around the New Rochelle area for classes and would love roommates so if you hear of anything let me know or if interested in becoming roommates let me know. :-)

Thank you .

Sure will, Im considering driving the first 6 weeks semester and then depending on the intensity of the program I might look into moving closer to the school, I haven't seen any apartments really, have you?

Since most of u that are in the program please can u share your experience is it worth going through with the program? how is it? how are the teachers? I am worried and hoping for the best I just got accepted to the accelerated program

@hana123

The program is very difficult as any nursing program is . it all comes down to the professors at CNR some of them suck and the school is very unorganized. Plan to teach yourself and be on top of everything.

Goodluck.
