Thank You Johnson & Johnson!

We all owe some thanks to Johnson & Johnson for airing promotional ads for nurses during the Olympic opening ceremony. Very cool stuff if you missed it. I was flipping around but caught 2 different minute long ads giving props to nurses and encouraging people to pursue nursing. It was also very cool to see them show men in nursing (nearly 50% in one of the ads). I kind of wish they could have done it during the Super Bowl since it would have reached a much bigger audience, but still nice to see none the less. I'm going to try to e-mail a thank you to the company and would encourage everyone else to do the same (maybe they'll show the ads more if they hear from alot of us).

Hey, they were playing those commercials again this evening and tonight during the Olympics. I think they are wonderful; and I think that if they continue to play them during the Olympics, they will have a larger audience than the Superbowl had.

Yes it was good ad and am appreciative of JnJ for running it. The flip side of the coin is no matter how many new Rn's are recruited unless the three R's..RESPECT, RECOGNITION, and REWARD , are dealt with Nursing will be a revolving door.

I was watching the Olympics with my daughter the other night she was lying on the sofa beside me when one of your commercials aired. As the commercial progressed she slowly began rising up to a sitting position. By the time the commercial was over she was sitting bolt upright beside me with her chest kind of puffed out and very proudly said, "Mommy, they are talking about you."

That was a wonderful treat for me. Thank you for making that possible.

When a well-known, highly respectable corporation runs an ad promoting the Nursing Profession; provides for the well-being and common good of all, it's not any wonder that Johnson & Johnson is and always will be the leader in healthcare. In the past I have found that Johnson & Johnson, with its stipend working on social issues, health, and education amazing and wonderful that you have developed to help build leadership in the field of healthcare providers.
