Just got a e-mail from a good friend of mine thats in Iraq with a different Nat. Guard unit. We became good friends in basic training. His vehicle was hit by a enemy rocket last wk and blew the vehicle on it's side. He posted that he had some serious LOC going on and the vehicle was on fire, but was dragged from the burning vehicle by a British soilder (Royal Marine).. My buddy swears that the Brit saved his life or prevented him from getting burnt pretty bad..He said while the medics were treating some of his cuts and things, he got to talking to the Brit who in turn got some gas burns on his hands/arms, but the Brit said his wife was a nurse.. Well I don't know your name or if you'll ever read this post, but tell your husband thanks for looking out for a friend of mine...Thank God for the British!!!

Nice post. I'm happy your friend is o.k. and hope they all come home safe. I think along with the (sometimes irritable and disagreeable) Canadians, the UK is a country we can definately count on, and have for a couple of hundred years. It's quite a bond we have.
Yep, you gotta love them Brits. :)

I'm glad your friend is OK Billy. It's a horrible situation over there and I'm glad troops are looking out for each other, regardless of nationality.
We in the UK have to stay friends with the USA 'cos no-one in Europe likes us (& I think the feeling is mostly mutual too)
