I was wondering since the 4th is tomorrow and I took my test this morning does "the trick" still apply. Also, do you think we will have the option to do quick results today. I was told that it would be Monday or Tuesday morning before we would know.

The NCSBN page that explains quick results has "48 business hours" after the exam in bold. I assume they mean 2 business days (not including weekends and holidays) and not literal business hours. And "after the exam" apparently means from the time you finish the exam, and not your appointment time, since I'm still waiting for my results from Tuesday.
I know that tomorrow is a holiday but I was hoping to find out today because I thought quick results meant that you could know the same day. I didn't realize until today that its 48hrs. I know not to rely on the trick, so I'm not because since the holiday is tomorrow, I don't know how that will effect it
I can't see how tomorrow being a holiday would affect today's PVT. Many people go from the testing center to their cars and check the PVT in the parking lot. If your status reads "delivery successful," there is no reason to believe the trick wouldn't work.
Also, I feel like I did read on here that some people have had their quick results sooner than others. In my state, it's 48 hours before you can get them (and that's the same time the BON posts them, so everyone says not to pay the $8).
Ok, well I hope it's legit. What does delivery successful mean? They never mentioned that to us so I was just wondering what that meant. Like if your test processed correctly? Lol, I just don't know what that means

Not sure this will help, but ...I have read other posts that said weekend and holidays had no effect on the 48 hour wait for results. Also read that it's 48 hours AFTER your test is completed.
Ok, well I'll just have to wait and see
For everyone who applied for a license, does your name show up on the state's board of nursing website regardless? Even if your application is still being processed?

I took my exam on last Thursday at 2pm. I gave up on checking quick results on Friday and woke up at about 5:30 am on Monday and they were there. I resisted paying for the quick results until about 3 pm that afternoon (couldn't take it anymore). Wish I would have waited and saved my money because my state posted my license about 10 minutes later. By the way I tried PVT a couple hours after I tested and it seems the myth is true, I did indeed pass and the computer would not allow me to register for the exam again. I wouldn't let myself accept it though until I saw the quick results.

While they do say 48 business hours after testing..quick results are available on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. I tested on a Thursday for my NCLEX-PN and got my results on a Saturday, took my NCLEX-RN on a Friday and got them on a Sunday (or the other way around, can't remember if the PN was a Thursay or Friday haha). As well, I ended my tests around the 9am mark..my results were available before that hour and after that for my tests.
Actually had a friend who tested and 48 hrs later would be on a Sunday that was also July 4th. She was able to get her quick results. I do know for my class last year...everyones quick result seemed to be available at 9:01am on the dot.
