I had to point (her mistake) out to her.
You really *had* to correct her? Alrighty, if you say so, but be aware that there is a way that you can do it respectfully and a way to do it a little less respectfully. If you just *had* to correct her, I'm guessing it came off more in the latter fashion.
Ask questions for clarification but refrain from the *need* to correct the teacher.
Nobody likes a show-off or a know-it-all, even if they're correct.
I'm an instructor and we know the info that we give you should be the most current and updated as possible. I don't think you intended to be malicious and be a "know it all" but just trying to get the right info. The best thing is to meet privately with that instructor discuss the lecture and your concerns. We are human, not perfect. If you came to me I would take the impression that you actually pay attention in my class and would respect you and know that you are interested in the right material. as it should be....not to be a show-off. BTW We don't hate you we just know that you have no idea about what your a getting into. Did the instructor smile real big? It's because we know the same will happen to you one day...when you realize that you are not perfect either.

I just started my program, and I've already ****** off my a&p teacher. I just finished my prereq's, so the info is still fresh in my mind. We were discussing cell division, and the teacher made an error. I should have just kept my big mouth shut, but I had to point it out to her. She had me wait after class, to tell me that she is the teacher, not me, and she won't steer us wrong. (Not too sure about that...)
I didn't want to push it, so I apologized for correcting her in front of the class.
She also made a couple other serious errors during the day, but no one said anything - we all just sat there stunned.
A group of us went in after lunch to talk to the School Director, but I'm not sure what (if anything) she is going to do.
Toward the end of the day, I turned around to look at the clock - and the instructor wanted to know what I was doing - (?). I guess I'm not allowed to turn around in class...
I have 12 weeks of this module, and I'm not sure how to handle it. Any suggestions would be appreciated...
