Hey there everyone,
Noticed no one made a topic for the twu fall 2024 cohort applications yet so I thought I would do it. Maybe it's just too early, but Im itching to get started! Has anyone already taken TEAS and finished all prerequisites? I'm nervous because I'm transferring in with no previous bachelors so I have no preference.

Patho with Serrano was very easy - typical online science class. She's very straight forward and was worth it to have my Summer off before the madness LOL.
Clinical wise, the Google doc you fill out when accepting is what they use to determine clinical sites. Where you fill out your address, preferred days, employment, etc. You fill that Google doc out every semester. They TRY to keep hospital sites close to where you live. Your hospital location is the same for that clinical rotation. For first semester, you're just in 1 clinical so it's 6 shifts at that same hospital. The next semesters you will have multiple clinical days a week based on speciality. For example for semester 2, one of our clinical rotations is women's health so our hospital site is the same for that rotation! However I go to another hospital during this semester as well, but for my adult health rotation 🙂 hope that makes sense.
Yes, that makes sense! I was on the fence about when to take patho, but my thought pattern is similar to yours, I want to enjoy some time off before the madness!!
Thanks again and good luck to your friend!

The only class that isn't apart of the nursing program is patho so you can def go ahead and look at the professors offered for Summer and fall. It is online so you can take any professor regardless of the campus, I took Serrano because she had the best rate my professor reviews so I also waited to take patho in the Fall! Besides patho, you take all the same classes as everyone else in your cohort so you're given specific codes when the time gets closer so don't worry about those 🙂 the days of fighting for a spot in a class you want is long gone.
as for the first few weeks, it can feel a little overwhelming because it's a lot thrown at ya at once. You will have 2 days a week of lecture and 2 days of lab, with one of the lab days turning into your clinical day aka when you go to the hospital. However you won't be at the hospital until mid October. Orientation does a good job at helping you know what you can expect for the first semester!
Thanks for sharing! Do your lecture days take the whole day or just a few hours? Since they suspended the WEP, I'm trying to figure out if I could probably show up half the day to my day job on my lecture days during the week.

If it hasn't changed, Mondays are basically all day. Pharm and assessment which are 3 hours long each with a 2ish break in between so it's 9-5ish. Tuesday it's 1 lecture class called concepts and it's 3 hours. It was 1-4ish. So a potential for a half day Tuesdays? Your other 2 days are lab days and are different for everyone and won't be posted until July. It's doable as long as your job is flexible!

I think it's open to anyone who wants to see the Dallas campus, I don't see anything wrong with signing up
Is anyone else having this problem for the castlebranch checklist? Ik its still early but I'm trying to submit what I have so far but when I go to upload the doc from my computer/drive it won't let me? Like the button literally does not do anything while the other two (my documents and download the fax/mail) options do something. Might try a different computer or even ipad but I just want to know if its just me??

My castlebranch has nothing on my to-do list even though I got accepted😖
