Can anyone give a good description of their experiences at Texas Wesleyan distance CRNA program? (Cincinnati, Kentucky area) I am thinking about applying there but I don't know how the program really works?

Thanks,

Thanks for the info!! I just took and passed the CMC exam, which was a great review to prep for the interview. But you are right, thinking the answers in your head are a lot different than saying them out loud. So thanks for the great advice.

I shadowed Steve a while ago, so maybe I should contact him to shadow again before my interview as well.

How long did it take to find out if you were accepted into the program after your interview?

have you met jeff a from st. e's? he would be good to meet as well. i believe they let us know a few weeks after new years. good luck.

I have an interview this week at St. E. Any tips? I am so nervous.

I also interviewed at St. E. this weekend. I thought it went pretty well. I would like to hear about others. It has only been one day and already the wait is killing me.:redbeathe Good luck to everyone who interviewing.

I had my interview today, and I agree the wait is terrible!!! I believe that my interview went pretty well. There were a few things I stumbled over but, I feel like I eventually came to the answer they wanted. I was not asked any personal questions; not sure what that means? My only regret is that I would have been more confident in my answers. O'well, fingers crossed I guess. How was your interview?

Does anyone know how many they are taking at this Cincy site? Or how many people are interviewing?

I had my interview this weekend also. I wish I felt as confident as you all do!! The 2 month wait is going to be killer. I hope they decide to let us know earlier than that. I had 9 people in my interview- all very nice, still very stressful with everyone staring you down for the answer!

Did anyone get any feedback when they were there? I was only told that I interviewed well but I have a feeling that they say that to everyone!?

Good luck to everyone that had the interview!

Don't know how many they are taking at this site. I guess that would have been a good question to ask at the end of the interview, but at that time I was trying not to screw up. My interview was like yours Brittcon, I could have done better, but I think I muddled through ok. Don't recall if they asked personal questions or not, they started in on clinical stuff pretty soon after I sat down.

This interview was alot better fit for me than my previous one at another local institution. I liked the people asking the questions and they seemed to like to teach. I learned about three different things during the interview that I thought I knew but evidently didn't.

I know they said about mid January we would know the results, does anyone have any other info?

I agree, they did help me work through a few things too and I did learn some things as well. I do know they started with 10 in last years class and they lost 2 d/t academia issues. Is this everyone's first year applying?

Wow, only ten at this site last year? I know one of them dropped out at 10weeks because of the amount of time he had to dedicate to the program. If I get accepted, I will be studying all the time, and I have known that from the earliest stages.

Only ten though. That makes me want to know how many interviewed for this site. Is this past weekend the only time they are interviewing? I have two friends who got their info in at the very, very last minute and haven't heard anything from TWU. They both said they had actually sent it in a few days before the deadline but couldn't get confirmation because of Thanksgiving. They are both good nurses and seem to have the credentials to get interviews from what they have told me. This is my first year applying though so I don't know what it takes really.

From what I understood from the video it sounded like we might be competing against people from across the country for those ten spots. But that doesn't match up to what I have seen from previous years as an observer. Guess we'll see in January :redpinkhe.

hey guys i am a student at cincy now, congradulations on interviewing and having it done. isnt that a great load off? the posts keep getting sent to my email so ive been reading them and i just wanted to let you guys know i think they are accepting around 12-13. (that's all the classroom will hold) our class started off with 13, 1 person decided to go somewheres else, and 1 person decided they didnt want to do it anymore after a few weeks. also, looking back on my calender, they called us jan 10 last year to let us know. hope that helps with the wait. enjoy the holidays and keep your fingers crossed. good luck everyone.

I applied at TWU for the Topeka, Kansas clinical site. Anyone else applying for this site?? I received my letter on Saturday the 6th stating that I have an interview scheduled for Monday the 15th!! YIKES. Trying to prepare quickly. At least I will have Christmas and New Years to pass the time while waiting for *acceptance*! And I start a new travel assignment on Jan 5...all things to help take my mind off the wait. But for now, I am NERVOUS about the interview.
