Texas Wesleyan CRNA 2017

Published

Hi everyone! I am new to allnurses.com, so my apologies in advance if I've posted this topic elsewhere on the website. I submitted my application and all supporting documents at the beginning of the month to Texas Wesleyan's CRNA program for the entering class of 2017. Has anyone applied this cycle received an interview date or any feedback from the school? Thanks in advance!

Oh my goodness! What do they mean that Texas sites are already full? Then what are the January interviews for then? Alternates? I hope she isn't saying that I am scheduled to interview in January if I really am not. This is frustrating, any feedback is appreciated to clear it up. I would hate for all the Texas sites to be filled. Thanks again!

walkerrn2015 if you look at the earlier post, ARMY-RN states that he/she was told the DFW clinical sites are filled. That doesn't mean all Texas sites are allocated; my guess is if the admissions coordinator told you that you'd be interviewing for Texas sites in January that they would be either for Texas Tech University Medical Center in Lubbock or Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen. Either way I would still give the admissions office a call to clarify.

Thank you furtail for explaining. The nerves and anxiety are real. Thanks again! :)

still on the fence about calling the office. why is it that some people have gotten notified right away? could we do a stats comparison and see how those of you that have gotten interviews or correspondance completely annihilate my gpa? :nailbiting:

I have been an RN for six years. I have worked in CVICU and Medicine ICU

I was premed in college with a 3.2 GPA and did fast track nursing with a 3.3 GPA.

im balloon pump, impella, CRRT certified

i also have my CCRN, CMC.

still holding out hope for the Texas sites. I know we would all be devastated if we didn't get in...

ill be keeping you all posted if I hear anything... hoping it is sooner rather than later.. would hate to wait till December or something

I've been an RN for 8 years and a paramedic for 14 years. I have ER, MICU, SICU, CICU, and Flight RN/Paramedic experience. I have ACLS, PALS, and CCRN. I finished my BSN with a 3.34, and I have 2 bachelors and 2 associates degrees. My scholastic performance is by no means stellar, but I feel like I am a qualified candidate at a lot of places. It's just a little discouraging not having heard anything so far...

Dang Easton! Love it!!!!

but yes, I know how it feels. We have been in so much hard work and just want it to pay off.

and yes I forgot I do have my ACLS and PALS as well considering it was criteria to apply haha

again, anyone on this thread with any info please post and we will do the same!

To reiterate, I was told that DFW sites are full, rest of TX interviews in January but the spots for rest of TX aren't too many and I don't wanna wait till Jan so I went ahead and agreed for the Mobile site. Strictly no site changes are permitted later.

My Stats are Level-1 Trauma SICU experience 4 years by the time I start, GRE 313, RN-BSN 3.72, Engineering Bachelors 3.70, ADN 3.6 and sciences all A's...CCRN, CRRT.

So I can't stand it anymore. I'm going to try calling tomorrow. My stats are:

3 yrs CCU, MICU, SICU (by start time. So many units b/c they transitioned my unit after my first year in CCU). Nursing gpa 3.6. GRE 310, plus O. Chem and Statistics taken, both A's. CCRN, ACLS, PALS. Expierience with IABP, CRRT, PA cath, etc. I don't want Harlingen so if the other Tx sites are full then I will opt for Louisiana if it's still available.

Awesome stats!!!! But yes, if anyone gets any info tomorrow post away! Thanks again!!

E mail just came to me! January 13!
