  1. No math tests were administered for the Mobile AL site where I interviewed.
  2. I was told via a text from my clinical site director 1 hr after my interview ended.
  3. Good Luck to those interviewing this week. I did not bring any resumes with me, they already know who you are, and the guy who led my interview had my resume in his hand I believe. Either way, it definitely won't hurt to bring few copies. I bought a leather folder with couple of blank pages and a page full of questions I need to ask them.
  4. Just created a group on FB "TX Wesleyan CRNA Class of 2019", please feel free to join.
  5. Interviewed at Mobile site yesterday, went very well...no pressure, lots of clinical question which I didn't knew atleast 10-15%, just be honest and say I don't know the answer instead of digging urself a hole by guessing. Was interviewed by I think 8 people including 2 current SRNAs. Everyone was very humorous, joking around and lots of laughs, casual conversations with clinical questions thrown in randomly. I didn't realize I was in there for about an hour. Long story short, got a call at 1700 yesterday from their clinical director that I have been accepted. Beyond excited!!!
  6. To reiterate, I was told that DFW sites are full, rest of TX interviews in January but the spots for rest of TX aren't too many and I don't wanna wait till Jan so I went ahead and agreed for the Mobile site. Strictly no site changes are permitted later. My Stats are Level-1 Trauma SICU experience 4 years by the time I start, GRE 313, RN-BSN 3.72, Engineering Bachelors 3.70, ADN 3.6 and sciences all A's...CCRN, CRRT.
  7. Yes I did get an email right away asking me to confirm that I would be interviewing in Mobile in Nov. I would suggest calling them again as this is their busiest time of the year and they might not be able to return calls.
  8. Hello Guys, I applied around mid Oct, and called immediately the next day. Was told all the DFW sites are gone and if I can eater chose to be interviewed in Nov for Mobile or wait till January for other TX sites. I chose to be interviewed in Nov coz I cant live in the anxiety till Jan....will be tough to live 16 months in Mobile though, was hoping to get any DFW spots
  9. I was told 10, I bought 12. I was interviewed by 2 panels of 5 ppl each. Definitely take more than 5 just in case.
  10. KierraRN, I am not sure but I got teh email very early yesterday, at around 0830. I would suggest checking ur spam/junk mail folders and contacting the recruiter. Good Luck!
  11. Guys, sorry to hear that...I know the feeling firsthand Keep your spirits up, there are MICU, NeonatalICU, and Burn ICU resident postings still active on parkland's website, and very good luck with ER interviews. Tips....personally I have never prepared so hard for an interview like this one, coz of a disappointing recent rejection from another ICU position that wud have been 120 miles drive for me per day anyway I had all the basic answers on tips like strengths, weaknesses, few scenarios, hardest pt. from past experience, why parkland, why SICU, future plans, etc. This was also very helpful: index read the "bedside emergencies" for frequent scenarios. I own this in printed version and read it frequently to brush up. Any way I cud help, pls let me know. Good luck again!
  12. Nana and Judy, I received the SICU congrats email, and then few minutes later got the same Med surge rejection email. I then called the recruiter, and she confirmed my SICU acceptance. So I would say, dont worry about the Medsurg email...just hang in there and wait for SICU recruiters email. She stated that she was super busy today with all the interviews when I spoke to her this a.m.
  13. Just got the "congratulations" email for SICU :-)
  14. Nothing yet ...for SICU.
  15. I can understand the feeling, Judy. Cudnt sleep last night and now I am just frozen, waiting for the phone to ring so I can continue with my life, for good or worse :) Interviewed last Tuesday, lets see. Stay Strong, u'll definitely get in!
