Sup everybody ! knowing it's a bit early, but I just wanted to start this thread for those applying to Texas Tech ABSN 2026 program. Anyone here plan on applying? 

Hey everyone! I applied this Spring, too—Austin was my first (and only) choice since I'm not able to relocate. I'm finishing up one last prereq and recently took a CNA course. I don't have direct healthcare experience yet, but I'm hoping my 10 years of waitressing counts for something! Good luck to all of you!

Hi everyone! Just checking back in here. Today is the final day to submit and I am anxious!! How is everyone doing? Any past students have advice for interviews?

I was reading one of the past forums & last year they found out whether they were moving forward to interview round by the 19th , so hopefully we know something by Friday . Good Luck

Best advice for the interviews is to just be honest and yourself. The interviews carry alot of weight as they are considering if you are the type of person they want to spend a year with. Be genuine, articulate well, and speak slowly. Some good advice I got was when preparing for the video interviews was to practice recording your answers. That will allow you to get some jitters out, and see how you come across.

Hey everyone! Just wondering, did y'all get the same email today about transcript and form deadlines being extended to July 23rd?

I submitted everything by the original July 15th deadline, so I'm guessing it was a mass reminder, but part of me is wondering... does this mean they're still waiting on a lot of applications? Could they be short on applicants? (Wishful thinking maybe, but a girl can hope 😅)

Curious what y'all think this might mean. I'm so eager to know where I stand!

I got the same email. I'm still taking a few Summer classes and will have an updated transcript after August and I'm not sure if I have to submit another transcript. 😅 I was also told by someone from the cohort that they were wanting to expand how many students they accept each year. They expanded by a for this years corhort.

Application deadline wasn't extended, they just leave a window of time to get the transcripts that you sent (before Jul 15) to arrive and be marked as received. I also heard that they want to make more spots for certain cities but thats nothing to quote me on cause thats just what my advisor mentioned in passing. Good luck to everyone.

If you're accepted in the program you will send in your transcripts from the classes you were still taking. Transcripts for your remaining prereqs are due before the first day of class starting.

The advisor I spoke with told me that it would be an assessment type of questionnaire.
