Hello! This might be a little early, but I wanted to create a group for those applying to Texas Tech ABSN 2024. With applications due in the coming months, I was hoping to have this space for anyone to submit tips or questions that may come up. Thanks!

@Ckren the only thing I truly have is working for a nursing home. I also work for the state with APS. Those would be the only things I'd have close to the health field.

So the healthcare experience gives preference, however, they do look at overall cumulative GPA as well as science GPA based on their 5 science prerequisites

@LMT202 my advisor told me they first consider first generation and Texas Tech alumn then they go down to Work history and GPA.

I am taking it through Collin College! I know you need medical terminology for this program, but I think you can just take it online as a certificate class.

If you have anatomy 1&2 most programs should allow you to take patho. I am taking mine through MCC and the requirements is either A&P I,II or Medical Terminology.
