Hello! This might be a little early, but I wanted to create a group for those applying to Texas Tech ABSN 2024. With applications due in the coming months, I was hoping to have this space for anyone to submit tips or questions that may come up. Thanks!

I'm so sorry to hear that, for reference University of Texas Health Sciences center San Antonio has a Accelersted BSN program. No TEAS or HESI exam required. Check and see if your prerequisites match up! They admit for the Summer 2024 so deadline isn't until January 5th 2024 for the Summer 2024 cohort. UTHSCSA is a phenomenal program.
Also UTTYLER has a good program with a straight forward admissions process. They also have a concurrent enrollment degree so if you get accepted into the ADN program on your second semester you take UT Tyler BSN. Courses and graduate with your Bachelors in Nursing the same time you complete the ADN. Tarrant County Communtiy College in Dallas also has a concurrent ADN-BSN enrollment program !
Does anyone know how the competitiveness of tech and ut San Antonio compare? Is one harder than the other? I'm currently in undergrad taking 21 hours this semester and graduate in December and still haven't completed a CNA program so I'm not sure I'd be able to get everything together in time to start in January since tech only has a January start date.

Dallas was my first choice, then Austin, San Antonio , and Abilene ?. Thank you for the information!

I'm apply to Baylor you do have to take the HESI, but there is a Dallas campus. I think the only reason Texas tech get so many applications is because you don't need a test. There are also 2 religious courses you would have to take as well but start date is Summer, I heard the interview process is straight forward as well.
I love Baylors director Robert! I talk to him almost everyday, I applied for Baylor and missed the HESI score requirement by 2 points on the grammar section. So I had to unfortunately withdraw my submission from the first group review which would be for the January start, and pushed me back to the September 2024 start.
the first round of applicant review that took place this week! They're on the second round of applicants for Baylor as of now for the January Cohort. Thankfully I got into Tech so I don't have to wait until September cohort due to having to wait 60 days for HESI Retake I would've missed the cut off date. Baylor was my #1 regardless of price, good thing with Baylors distance ABSN is if you don't do Dallas, they'll match your clinical to any hospital in your area in any city in Texas.

I also looked into Baylor, but because I am in Collin county I wouldn't be able to do it online and have to go into classes which I didn't want. Great program though!
