Hello! This might be a little early, but I wanted to create a group for those applying to Texas Tech ABSN 2024. With applications due in the coming months, I was hoping to have this space for anyone to submit tips or questions that may come up. Thanks!

I really do think they sugarcoat their responses in email, because the girl on the phone for TTUHSC was so blunt and candid about it.

So, I'm going to be optimistic and say we still have a fair chance like others and we will just be the SECOND WAVE.. I believe Theo only be 2 waves and after that than it'll be a rejection. I know after reading previous threads and speaking to them myself earlier, I got the same answer: that they will just be sending it out in waves, and not everybody accepted knows yet. She said on the phone that every campus still has yet to send acceptances, so I guess we will see. Only one wave has gone out right?

Oh okay, that's good to know. Honestly, I called earlier and she said that acceptances are going in waves, but she didn't say anything about first choices and going to the next person. She just told me there are definitely still acceptances for every location still to be sent, but they don't want their system to crash because they've had problems in the past. I'm really hoping that's the case, and for our sake, some first choices are still yet to be sent

Yes, only one wave has gone out today from what my advisor said. I applied to Lubbock, Amarillo, and Odessa. So, no worries we still have a chance like everyone else. ?? it'll probably be throughout the week and some have declined their offer into the program so that also makes room for others.

Yes, you put it into words better than I did. Those that declined their offer will make room for others ?? good luck to everyone!

Okay thank you SO much, because this makes me feel a lot better. I have seen in previous threads that people have been accepted days after others have, and so on. I just am hoping our acceptance(s) have yet to come, and not just dependent on another declining the offer if that makes sense

I think your acceptances are yet to come and not dependent on another declining their acceptance. I think they just rank it in waves in terms of placement in the campus because they have a capacity? Maybe?

This isn't actually the case it seems. I was accepted to Abilene, which was listed as my second choice! I am still happy with the admittance either way!

Wow congratulations girl! I'm happy for you. Yeah I don't know who to believe anymore. I see different answers everywhere, emails, forums, over phone w them.  ?

If worst comes to worst ? my backup plan is to apply to tech Health administration program! If I can't work with the patients I can advocate for the nurses and patients on the other side. BUT being a RN is my #1 pick all day everyday ?.

Congrats to those that have gotten accepted and good luck to those awaiting acceptance :’) you got this!

for those accepted to Austin is there a facebook group? If not would someone be willing to create one?
