I also got rejected today from Surgical ICU Fort Worth!

I heard it's generally bad if you haven't heard back in a week for screenings or interviews (I haven't heard back either) - I'm assuming we're in the denied stack or waiting list for if those that got an interview didn't make it.

This page has been super quiet for a while. Do you guys know if they sent their final rounds of acceptances/rejections yet? They said November is the final group right?

I got into Duke and got scholarships, but I also got into SFSU. Which one should I pick you guys? ? it's so tough because I heard nursing schools rankings don't really matter and they are both high ranked schools in the US

My family is trying to convince me to stay home because I'd have to fork out money for rent and living expenses which is estimated at another 20k (rent for 16 months and groceries/food). It's been quite stressful bc I'm trying to think the long term and see the big pic. But it doesn't help because so many ppl say that it really doesn't matter which undergrad nor the name, as long as you do well. But based on what you know, would Duke give me a leg up for CRNA?

I know this is several years back, but I got accepted into Duke ABSN program. They gave me 80k in scholarships (tuition about 100k total), which essentially I'm only having to pay 20ish-k. Duke is an in-person program and 4 semesters (16 months). Now my in-state program that accepted me TTUHSC, the tuition is also 26k but 3 semesters (12 months) and mostly online. Which one should I opt for if my goal is to become a CRNA in the future? CRNA/DNAP programs are competitive and I want to stand out as much as I can. Obviously GPA and experiences matter heavily and I will work on that too, but I want to have a leg up by being a Duke Alumni. In addition, I don't know what the future holds because I plan on moving with my husband wherever his job takes him, so would graduating from a top nursing school help me gain admittance into grad schools in other states? Any advice or recommendations would be very much appreciated.

I think your acceptances are yet to come and not dependent on another declining their acceptance. I think they just rank it in waves in terms of placement in the campus because they have a capacity? Maybe?

I really do think they sugarcoat their responses in email, because the girl on the phone for TTUHSC was so blunt and candid about it.

How they explained it to me makes it seem as if someone from the first wave decline their acceptance, it will be given to the next person and so forth. And then once the campus capacity is reached, they will take the additional school form into consideration for the other waves

Everyone that received acceptances today got into their first choice. They told me that it's being released in waves so if you decline your acceptance offer, it'll to to the next person. I'm assuming they have a ranking system. But congrats to everyone that made it in! ❤️ and good luck to those still waiting to hear back. Those that got into Dallas, should we make a FB group?
