Hello! This might be a little early, but I wanted to create a group for those applying to Texas Tech ABSN 2024. With applications due in the coming months, I was hoping to have this space for anyone to submit tips or questions that may come up. Thanks!

☹️ it's so hard to believe this since earlier they told a bunch of people that the (IT made mistake sending them out or something like that ) but it wasn't ?

Does anyone know in the current Dallas cohort that will want to sell their textbooks?  Definitely not wanting to pay full price!

Did you receive your email around 3:30 today, or was this the second wave of emails that came out? I called earlier, and the responses were confusing. I know they are doing it in waves, and she said around 4 today that more waves will be coming out, not all admitted students received their letters, and they have until they end of the week, but I'm just confused

Everyone that received acceptances today got into their first choice. They told me that it's being released in waves so if you decline your acceptance offer, it'll to to the next person. I'm assuming they have a ranking system. But congrats to everyone that made it in! ❤️ and good luck to those still waiting to hear back. Those that got into Dallas, should we make a FB group?

This is the email I received "Thank you for reaching out with this question. Our admissions decisions go out in waves to help ease the flood of return questions. If you have not received an email on a decision it just means that you were not included in the first wave of decisions. I would advise you to watch your email closely for any updates.”

But are there still first choices to still not receive acceptance letters, or are the rest of the acceptances to go out solely depending on if the first group accepts?

What I am getting out of this is and my friend also called for me "due to being at work" and it seems like they are breaking the days up to accept people, so they don't get over flooded with emails and calls. So, I'm going to be optimistic and say we still have a fair chance like others and we will just be the SECOND WAVE.. I believe Theo only be 2 waves and after that than it'll be a rejection. Unfortunately it's hard to give an exact answer since I've seen everyone give different responses so that's why I emailed and called them myself.

How they explained it to me makes it seem as if someone from the first wave decline their acceptance, it will be given to the next person and so forth. And then once the campus capacity is reached, they will take the additional school form into consideration for the other waves
