Hello! This might be a little early, but I wanted to create a group for those applying to Texas Tech ABSN 2024. With applications due in the coming months, I was hoping to have this space for anyone to submit tips or questions that may come up. Thanks!

Y'all I just realized I forgot to include an employer on my resume+ employment ? it's somewhat health care related so I think it would of been beneficial to have (it was 3 months so not long, but something!)

 

do you think it's too late to email them to make a correction? I plan on speaking about my time there in the essay so I don't know if I should tell them or only explain to them my error if they ask follow up questions?

I think it is probably too late to adjust your resume but you can try! Worst case, you mention it in your essay!

If anyone does complete It today could you please provide feedback on how It was completing the video portion.. I'm still so nervous ?

I did them last night! Definitely make sure your test video works and catches your audio and video because my first 2-3x it didn't pick up my volume and I had to tweak my mic/audio settings before starting the actual questions. Also, there's not any type of noise alert when your 90s of prep are over and your answer is starting to record or when your 3mins of answering are up either. So just be sure you can see the timer so you can adjust your answer if you're using less or more time than anticipated and you're not caught off guard when both timers are up ☺️ I felt though like they were really good questions that allowed for organic answers, like I didn't feel like I needed a script or really notes to answer. "Speak from the heart" sounds cheesy but I felt like the questions allowed for a lot of that and for me to just be genuine in my answers! Good luck! Don't stress and just be genuine!

Kind of. The questions were asked differently than what I was anticipating but the topics were helpful to have an idea of what to expect!

Noted, thank you so much for letting us know!! But congrats on finishing everything up ? 

how soon does everyone think we'll hear back? Maybe by EOM? I feel like they've been way ahead schedule this cycle based on previous years!

I think it probably won't be until mid September unfortunately! We also have no idea how many people are actually interviewing! It could be a ton of videos and essays to sift through
