Texas Tech University ABSN 2024

Published

Hello! This might be a little early, but I wanted to create a group for those applying to Texas Tech ABSN 2024. With applications due in the coming months, I was hoping to have this space for anyone to submit tips or questions that may come up. Thanks!

I think of it moreso as your actual community. Where you live, if you volunteer, participate in any associations or clubs

I interpreted this the same way! Like in your everyday life/local community.

This might be a complete dumb question! But what is considered community involvement? I found this question to be very hard as I only have done CNA hours getting my license and working as a CNA. Would the CNA clinical portion be consider community involvement. I'm stressing.

I'm in the same spot. I have tons of experience but have mostly spent the last 2 years finishing my bachelors and working. I'm not exactly sure how I should answer.

Exactly. I work a full time job and finished my BA last December, so I really didn't have time for much community involvement besides doing my CNA license. I'm stuck on this one.

Question for fellow applicants who have no health care experience(or even advice) how are y'all approaching some of these questions ?

like the first one speaking directly about patient care or even just asking your experience with nurses/working with out healthcare.

They mention observing healthcare workers so IDK if they mean it literally observing the job/interactions they have. I think I'm definitely overthinking but so nervous!

I forgot to ask earlier do y'all believe we have to complete It all in one sitting or we can start and come back to It ? More so I'm regards to the essay question

I think all in one sitting! I did the simple CNA questions and logged out and they were gone!

Oh no ? okay see I wanted to break It up by doing the essay questions a day or two before I do the video's so I'm not overwhelmed.

Wait for those who opened it to look at the  questions were you able to log out and go back in with out it affecting you?

It didn't save my responses to the written questions, but nothing happened with the videos! Totally fine to log in and out

Yes, I opened It on my iPad, and since It wasn't supported by the browser I was using It only allowed me to view It with a error message on the screen. When I log out, and log back in it's still there brand new.

Did anyone click the videos? ? I know the questions obviously are correlated with the title haha.

No I was too scared to LOL It only has a button that said "ready" underneath them. So I was assuming if I did click It It would show the screen to start recording.
