Texas Tech Fall 2015 RN-BSN

Published

Hi all! I am applying to Texas Tech's fall 2015 program. I filled out the application, and sent off my transcripts today!! I was hoping some of you could answer a few questions for me!

Did any of you apply before actually graduating nursing school? I graduate this May.

What did your GPA look like? I have around a 3.3 (not sure if this will hurt or help me)

I couldn't find any info on how many students they actually accept a semester vs. how many apply, so I'm not sure if this program is really competitive. Just trying to get an idea of how hard it is to actually get into this school.

Any info from anyone would be great!!

Is anyone else out there applying for this Fall??

They emailed me. My Merlin account says "you have been offered a position" and I have to push accept or decline. Maybe they aren't finished notifying people.

Got my provisional acceptance email this morning, too! Now, if only I can pass the NCLEX the first time :/

Specializes in OR, Medical/Surgical, Orthopedics.

Woohoo. Accepted yesterday. Starts sept. 8th :)

Are y'all doing the 2 or 3 semester?

I got accepted too!!! yayyyy!!!

I think I'm going to do the 2 semester program as well!

Doing the 2 semester, too.

I noticed none of you are doing the 6 month option. Is this still offered? Mind sharing why you are opposed?

I didn't know there was a 6 month option. I thought it was either 2 or 3 semesters.

I got accepted too!! í ½í¸Š Where are Y'ALL seeing the semester options?!

They used to have a 6 month option and the classes were 8 weeks in length. After looking at their website I don't this this option mentioned anywhere so that is a bummer. There are previous posters that have commented on doing this option. I hate dragging it out for 2 semesters.
