Texas Tech BSN 2 Fall 2013

U.S.A. Texas

Published

I am applying for Texas Tech's accelerated BSN program. So I wanted to start a thread for all Fall2013 hopefuls. I think I am going to apply to both Austin and the other location that is not El Paso(I can't think of the name)

Wow! I just joined this site today and saw your post. I interview in Abilene on June 25 at 1:20 and come out at 1:40, right before you. I will meet you in the hallway!

Hello, KeeneNursetobe! Awesome!!! Where are you from?

WELCOME to the site.

Cool thanks!

Yea, apparently hotmail blocks emails from TTU, I got ahold of Ms. Taylor and got it straitened out.

I interview on the 25th at 1 pm... I fly in that morning, and fly out that night... Anyone else not staying overnight??

Ok, so total change of subject here, but does anyone know what color of scrubs the nursing students wear? Is it different colors depending on the location? Does anyone know?

Thanks SilverLove and aqua2303. I live in the Ft Worth area. I'm excited about getting a chance to interview, but I'm very nervous. I don't like interviews. Good luck to everyone!!

I am sure you will do just fine. Does anyone know the price tag on TTU program. I saw somewhere that it was around $22,000 to $25,000. Now I don't know where I saw that. Just curious if excepted and we are not able to work are you guys getting financial aid? I applied to get some, but I guess I wont hear back from Financial Aid until you get excepted. I need to see about getting private loans because I have a feeling Financial Aid will not be enough to cover it all.....

I need to look into that.... but still way excited..... less than a week until my interview. YAY :woot:

The estimate I calculated for in state tuition was roughly $23,000..... But I would plan for more like 26-28, there are allot of fees associated with nursing school that you are not told about.

The video shows students in orange camo t shirts....hah

But freaking out a bit... because video says program is 3 semesters, and above examples are per semester.... please explain.....what is the REAL cost of this program? Not that it matters cus I am going no matter what the cost!!

Awesome! I live in Fort Worth too! :)

I live between Ft. Worth and Dallas... in the HEB area....but decided to apply to Amarillo. Amarillo is only having 1 day of interviews, Jun 20th. But will take the time to look at apartments while I am there. I spoke with one of the professors in the program and she used to be in the admissions committee, she said that it is imperative they understand that the applicant WILL NOT be working during the time they are in school, she said 90% of the people that flunk out is because they started working.

KeeneNursetobe, have you thought about commuting at all or will you be moving to Abilene? I know we haven't gotten accepted yet but I'm just being positive. :)
