I am applying for Texas Tech's Accelerated BSN program. So I wanted to start a thread for all Fall2013 hopefuls. I think I am going to apply to both Austin and the other location that is not El Paso(I can't think of the name)
Hey future RNs. I'm reapplying for the BSN2 for the fall. For anyone taking Patho at Tech, if she's still teaching it, ***** was a great teacher. She teaches senior lvl classes at HSC so she gives a very good nursing class approach to patho. aqua2303, I didn't get an interview until 2nd-3rd week of June. Things move really quick over the summer. You apply, a few weeks later you interview, about a week or two later you get accepted (or not in my case). Anyone who hasn't, get your CNA taken care of. That's why I didn't get in. Other than that, my resume' was fine.

Hi Everyone: I had a question in regards to how the classes and practicums are done. Any idea how it's usually scheduled? Any information is helpful at this point. Thanks!
Try asking on this page https://allnurses.com/texas-state-nursing/texas-tech-bsn-706038.html
Thank you brascoliosis! I mailed all my paperwork to Tech on Monday! The anticipation of waiting until June is horrible! Lol! Has anyone else turned in their stuff?
@ SilverLove,
The BSN 2 classes are all online. Many of the tests are proctored at the site where you are enrolled. There's an occassional lab or meeting to attend on campus and a few pre-scheduled clinical days at clinical sites, but for the most part you schedule your own clinical days in cooperation with your clinical coach. They can be any day of the week that works best for you both, and depending on the coach's work schedule. The school would like to see you attend one day per week, but it usually doesn't work out that way.

Thank You so much for the information. I was just trying to plan ahead.... but I guess this year I won't get to make it back to the iHeart Music Festival in Vegas. Well I will just have to see how things play out....
