Texas Tech Accelerated 2nd Degree Program 2021

Published

I’m not sure if it’s too early to start this thread, but anyone on here planning on applying to Texas Tech’s Second Degree program in May?

Hey guys,

Once we submit our application and fill out the forms we just wait our transcripts to come in right? Then an interview offer?

I just want to make sure there isn't a supplemental application like some of the other nursing schools.

Yes! That’s correct! TTHSCU got my transcripts on April 14 and it just came through on the app yesterday so it takes awhile! Just be patient!

Thank you! I’m trying haha. It’s all a bit nerve racking. I just want to make sure I’m doing everything right because tech is my first choice.

Glad to know I’m not alone ?

Hey everyone! Is anyone else planning on applying for the Dallas cohort? And can someone please send me the most recent webinar? [email protected]

I really hope they give out information on how many spots appear to be open for each location. I would hope that since the classes are mostly online that there would be more spots.

Hey guys,

does anyone know where you can get a CNA certification in the DFW area? ?

They accept any of the 2. It can be certificate or credit hour. I did mine online through Des Moines Univeristy.

Hey TyE,

did you check with the school if they will take this certification? How long did it take you to finish it?

Yea. Depending on how many hour effort you are able to put.

Thank you so much ! You've been really helpful

They have about 40 spots for each location, so it’s pretty competitive. As long as you have all the pre requisites your get an interview (according to staff) and they choose the students based on interview along with GPA (according to one of their students, so don’t quote me on that)

Specializes in EMT and RNT.

Hey guys! Do y'all know of any past applicants that were accepted without a CNA? Like had it signed off by an employer or had a different cert?
