I haven't seen a thread for those of us applying May 1st to the January 2020 cohort. I'm wondering how heavily they weigh the TEAS. Also, I have heard as long as you meet all criteria they typically give you an interview. Has anyone else heard this? I really like how they take a holistic approach to grant admissions. I'm wanting to apply to UTA but I feel like the main way you get extra points is by attending school there which I did not do! We'll see!

Last year it was 9-4. If you're in Dallas, it's at the school, which is the same building as the tech school of pharmacy, but floor 7. I can't speak for other sites!

I guess I just needed to be a tad more patient I got the e-mail about site specific orientation today ?

I wanted to tag onto this message because I also have questions in regards to books. Will our financial aid post in time to use those funds for books? If we buy them all new it is hundreds of dollars. I would have to charge them on a credit card and wait to get money back. Ugh. I don't want to do that.

That's ok! It gives me hope that they are finally sending out info. Still waiting for Dallas info. I hope it is at the school of pharmacy. Not a terrible commute for me!

So some books you can totally get older editions and be just fine while others, it's more difficult. I 100% read the pediatric, maternal/newborn, medsurg, & pharm books cover to cover. Some books have basically the same info as one edition prior, just the chapters are arranged differently. If it is more than 1 edition older, it may be risky...totally up to you guys.

You can definitely use older editions of books, I did all year in certain classes. I only bought books that I couldn't find online, because they're a lot cheaper that way. Wait until each semester starts before buying books, or at least until you talk to us at orientation because we have a lot of suggestions. Also, if you still haven't heard from Dallas, I'm positive it's from 9-4 on campus. If you type in TTUHSC SON on Google Maps it will take you there, we submitted it to Google to make it a location this year. That is where your classroom is, on the 7th floor. However, they're doing construction on the building because Texas Tech just bought it, so y'all will do basic skills there and then in March, will rent classroom space from other hospitals in the area (Methodist Dallas, UTSW, etc). So you'll have to be flexible! However, orientation is at that building. Last year we were told to dress business professional, but I'm unsure what they said this year. See y'all Wednesday!

That will be a huge help! I'm not working but I do want to work on my breaks if they are true breaks honestly it will be a vacation to me ??♀️ I know pathetic but I legitimately love the team I work with and the anxiety is setting in of all the responsibilities I'm leaving for people to do over the next year. 2021 cant come fast enough ?
