I haven't seen a thread for those of us applying May 1st to the January 2020 cohort. I'm wondering how heavily they weigh the TEAS. Also, I have heard as long as you meet all criteria they typically give you an interview. Has anyone else heard this? I really like how they take a holistic approach to grant admissions. I'm wanting to apply to UTA but I feel like the main way you get extra points is by attending school there which I did not do! We'll see!

I'm currently in the program. My husband is a physical therapist and he recommends Brooks to all his patients. That's all him and his coworkers wear. Its all I've worn during the program and many in my cohort switched to them. Academy has the styles you can try on and you could order them in black for the program. Also, Brooks has professional program that gives 40% off their shoes after you have a professional license. Just in case they are too expensive now, you could keep that in mind for once you're an RN. Brooks aren't for everyone, my sister is a NICU nurse and has to wear Asics (I think) because Brooks don't work well for her.
Laptop: I have the new Macbook air that came out last fall. I've always had a macbook and love it, but If I had to do it over again, I'd probably get the Surface Pro. It doubles as a tablet and has some really neat note taking features with the pen. Two of my classmates have it and I really like theirs.

Hi there,
I would recommend waiting to purchase the books until the week before the semester starts/the first week of class. A lot of these books require online access (esp. the med surge and fundamentals book). So it's not worth buying ahead of time!

I would purchase from a storefront like Life Uniform or maybe Allheart.com! I’m upgrading to a cardiology stethoscope since I’ll be in critical care and I plan to use allheart. They have some specials going on plus a 10% off your first purchase ?
also, looks like Walmart is selling some 3M Littmann classics for as low as $80!

Honestly, they did not care about our shoes as long as they were the correct color. You’re going to be on your feet a TON, so definitely buy something that is going to be supportive and comfortable! I’ve been wearing Saucony Ride ISO’s in black all year and nothing has been said!

Oh okay. I was only emailed 2 links for HIPAA and title IX but none were sent for the others. I’m also wondering if it has something to do with me just finding out I was accepted after being on the waitlist for awhile. I just found out I got into the program last week so I know I am a bit behind compared to others.
