Texas Tech-Accelerated BSN Spring 2020

I haven't seen a thread for those of us applying May 1st to the January 2020 cohort. I'm wondering how heavily they weigh the TEAS. Also, I have heard as long as you meet all criteria they typically give you an interview. Has anyone else heard this? I really like how they take a holistic approach to grant admissions. I'm wanting to apply to UTA but I feel like the main way you get extra points is by attending school there which I did not do! We'll see!

I too am applying for Dallas. My Science GPA isn't that great, but I took 9 prerequisites in the spring and summer and only made one C. Hopefully, they can see that I can handle the work load and make good grades. Good luck to all!

Don’t get discouraged! Tech cares about more than just a perfect GPA! It is a factor but they’ll look at TEAS score, resume, work experience if any, etc! ?

My application still says "awaiting" in regards to my TEAS and transcripts. Is this the case for anyone else?

As long as you have proof on your end that you have requested everything on your end, you should be good.

Did everyone receive an email stating that they are working on processing applications and that we should know if we got an interview by mid-August? That’s so far away.. ?

Btw this is what Cindy wrote back to me when I asked about timeline:

"For now it is a wait process. Interviews are held at the end of August. We try our best to notify those chosen for an interview at least 2 week notice. Once interviews are complete, everyone should know (accepted or not) mid-September."

I finally recieved an email with my transcript evaluation just minutes ago. I have classes from 4 different schools so it was a bit of a hassle. For a moment they weren't sure if they were going to take my science math and english from out of state and I was absolutely terrified! But thankfully its come back without any issue. I submitted my application may 15th. They responded about my classes on June 11 and today they confirmed that my classes were all good to go for pre reqs. I feel like I've been holding my breath! Best of luck to all as we wait to hear in mid august.
