Texas Tech-Accelerated BSN Spring 2020

I haven't seen a thread for those of us applying May 1st to the January 2020 cohort. I'm wondering how heavily they weigh the TEAS. Also, I have heard as long as you meet all criteria they typically give you an interview. Has anyone else heard this? I really like how they take a holistic approach to grant admissions. I'm wanting to apply to UTA but I feel like the main way you get extra points is by attending school there which I did not do! We'll see!

I would email Elizabeth, because my transcripts had been delivered according to USPS tracking but they had not been “received” on my application and it ended up being a mistake on their part. They had attached someone else’s transcripts to my application and that’s how I found out that they completely overlooked the ones I sent in. My only issue is that when they finally got ahold of my transcripts they didn’t check me off for my bachelor’s degree or my medical terminology class. ?

Hi Olivia! I am happy to hear that you are doing much better and will start the January 2020 cohort!

I applied to the Dallas campus. Do you know how often classes meet on-campus each week? What about clinicals? Do you have a syllabus you can share? It would be nice to have an idea of what to expect between family life and school. Thanks so much & blessings.

Hi Sammie & JillHill. Good luck to you both! After reading some of the previous posts, it sounds like a lot of people have a chance of getting interviewed, as long as they meet application requirements. Did you both turn in your applications?

Yes I’m all done and all in. Just working on proving 2 courses for core tech says I’m missing, but I have taken. That’s a tricky part. If all fails with that I’ll have 2 courses to take if I get in. How about you?

I just turned in my application this weekend. I received notification that the school downloaded my transcripts last week but they still have to be applied to my application. I'll call the school tomorrow to make sure that all is okay since I submitted things backwards.

I just read all of the posts. It was mentioned that there are 30 spots open for Dallas. I need to watch the webinar; it sounds like good information was provided. I did not know TT had a webinar so I am thankful for the person that posted the link.

I went back and read last year's thread. Looks like their application cycle closed on the 15th and some people got interview emails July 27th!
