Texas Tech-Accelerated BSN Spring 2020

I haven't seen a thread for those of us applying May 1st to the January 2020 cohort. I'm wondering how heavily they weigh the TEAS. Also, I have heard as long as you meet all criteria they typically give you an interview. Has anyone else heard this? I really like how they take a holistic approach to grant admissions. I'm wanting to apply to UTA but I feel like the main way you get extra points is by attending school there which I did not do! We'll see!

Reading through the 2018 and 2019 forums and sounds like they found out last weekend of July or first week of August... last year’s cohort found out about acceptance early September and the year before didn’t find out til later in September. Hopefully it’s early for us!

I did turn in my application last week, but NOTHING has been checked off. I'm extremely worried. It shows that all my transcripts have arrived when I call my other schools. Cindy and Elizabeth told me they go in the order they receive things then they pull transcripts from that person as they go across their names, if that makes sense. I do not want to keep bothering them because I kind of am just repeating my concerns to them over and over, but at the same time I really need to know if they have all my stuff and if they need anything else.

As long as you have confirmation that everything was ordered prior to 7/15 you’re ok. They said it can be very slow sometimes. It’s a tedious process with only a few people working on it. Just keep checking the portal each day and keep record of confirmations.

Yes. I was told my Sonia to rest assured as long as I turned everything in. She said it can be a tedious process and they go over everyone e’s application by hand. I know last year they got interview invites around the 27th.... I’m hoping we find out late next week but I figure it may be later since so many apps are “awaiting.”
