Texas Tech-Accelerated BSN Spring 2020

I haven't seen a thread for those of us applying May 1st to the January 2020 cohort. I'm wondering how heavily they weigh the TEAS. Also, I have heard as long as you meet all criteria they typically give you an interview. Has anyone else heard this? I really like how they take a holistic approach to grant admissions. I'm wanting to apply to UTA but I feel like the main way you get extra points is by attending school there which I did not do! We'll see!

I got my transcript evaluation a few days ago. I think they may do evaluations in the order that applications are submitted. I submitted mine on June 6th. Once my transcripts were evaluated they checked off my degree. I had to make a few corrections so I am waiting to see if they fixed it all now.

So I just submitted everything and my transcripts as well electronically. Does anyone know how quickly they get there if you do them through email? I also just had ATI email my TEAS scores and I am a little worried they won't have everything by Monday. Also, I can't remember where I saw this, but if you took a few class through Texas tech do I need to order that transcript as well? I could've sworn I saw somewhere that I didn't need to, but now I'm just worried about everything.

@sammie.sosa How fast your transcripts go out depends on the institution. I had mine sent electronically from MSU and ACC and they basically went out immediately. On the other hand, the college I dual-enrolled in my senior year of high school took forever to send them. I requested/sent all my transcripts on 6/27 and submitted my app on 7/3, but all my transcripts are still in the "Awaiting" status. I assume it's because they haven't gotten to my app yet - maybe somebody could clarify if they're in the same boat?

I have the same issue, but I spoke to someone this week specifically about transcripts - you have to order transcripts from all schools Andy they have to be ordered by the application close. So screenshot your receipts in case there’s an issue. I ordered all mine 6/28 and only one is showing. My TEAS showed within 2 day though.

Is anyone applying for the Permian Basin cohort?

Also, I gave everything else but I have not completed my CNA, I’m working on getting registered through our community college. Does anyone know if you have to have it to even be considered? I know you obviously have to complete it before January start but does anyone know if it’s by application close? Starting to panic!

CNA is not required by the application deadline. It just gives you preference if you have it.

Hi Olivia I actually have a few questions if you don’t mind!

Do you know how many people applied for the Permian Basin cohort last year? Or how many were accepted?

Also, since I don’t have my CNA but I’m on the waiting list for the August class and I have a spot for September class, should I upload a screenshot do that email in lieu of my certificate?

Anyone else still have the bachelor’s degree and medical terminology missing on their application? Do y’all know if that will make our application incomplete and not considered for admission? I already turned in all my transcripts and those have been checked off that they were received but they haven’t posted anything for the two forms I’m missing

Hey guys! I have a question regarding transcripts. If we submitted our transcripts before we submitted the application, do we have to submit them again? Thank you in advance!!

So I submitted everything on July 2nd and it still states that my TEAS and all my transcripts are "awaiting." I talked to Cindy about it and she told me to just wait and they will ask for items if they need them... I'm afraid something is going to happen and I'll miss the deadline somehow. I just don't like how it still says "awaiting!" Anyone else have this same situation happen?

So that's my exact issue.... I submitted everything last week and it still says my transcripts and TEAS scores are "awaiting." I'm freaking out! I talked to Cindy and she said to just wait and they will let me know if I need anything... I even checked my other schools for status of the transcripts and they said they sent... so I don't know what the deal is.
